So, I've seen other team's blogs do this but I didn't see one here last week. I was the unfortunate witness to the Colts-Texans season opener (yeah, I live in Houston), but that's not going to stop me from following each and every Colts game this year.
On Sunday night, our Indianapolis Colts host Eli Manning and the New York Giants. Kickoff scheduled for 8:20pm EDT. The last time the Manning brothers faced off... well, let's just say that season ended on a happy note. That was also the last (only) time we lost to the Texans (and we didn't lose any more games for the rest of the season... just sayin').
For those of us who cannot attend the game in person... what will you do instead? Any big parties or bars hosting a watch-party in the Indianapolis area? What about watching it in another city? Planning to stake out Brandon Jacobs' hotel room and kidnap him before the game? Hopefully this will give some relocated Colts fans the opportunity to meet up in other cities to catch the games. I moved here about two years ago and remember watching the 2008 season at home by myself... not saying I didn't enjoy it, but it's definitely a lot better to yell and scream around some fellow fans of your team.
So, if you know anything going on, post it here. I know there are plenty of Colts fans in Houston (I saw a couple thousand Colts jerseys, including one Justin Snow and two Curtis Painter jerseys!), as I'm sure is the same in many other cities around our country/world... so let's use this opportunity to meet up for our team's games this season!
