Thanks, Paulo
I will link to this from my Eldridge article as well.
How can you not love a team that does this?
LOVE the breakdown...
I just wish we could get our hands on coaches tape to break that down. I wonder if they will ever release that to the general public? A guy can dream can’t he?
Fabulous illustration
of that running play.Everyone got a block on that play creating a huge hole. Terrific zone play. Thanks Colts Brazil. To me, film study is the best form of analysis we can get.
Yes, ditto.
This was a great job. A textbook example of how blockers work together and a good educational tool for kids.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Great job Colts Brazil!
I went to your blog and I like it very much! I had Google translate it for me so not everything translated correctly but it is a very well written blog with a ton of content. I suggest everyone to give it a read.
Good Clarity Pics

I really like the way you took the snapshots from the video of the game. It illustrates the role Elridge played perfectly. This post gets a rec .
Now this is a real post mortem of the game and plain cold hard facts to back it up.
It is just my suggestion that if you could do this every week and BBS could pin this up it would make for very informed reading on this blog.
It would also be immensely liked by many people .
my two cents

Thanks for the support guys.
I will try to do this every week.
I’ve been doing this since last season for my blog.

Excellent
The blocking really was great, especially Eldrige. Even being the best blocking TE in the draft you still dont expect blocks like that in his first year. Hes quickly becoming a fan favourite.
Hank Baskett IS A WANKER
There were a few less than great blocks on TV
He did well, but has a ways to go. But great potential. I would not be surprised if, in a couple years, he’s regarded as a 6th OL in terms of blocking ability. Heck, given our OL “uncertainty,” he might already be one of the top-three….
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
Bad defense caused by Manning more than anything
Don’t get me wrong, it was a good blocking play. But that safety, instead of hitting the B gap between the LG and LT chose to man the outside where Eldridge easily held him off.
If I am a safety playing the Colts RBs, I would know that they do not have the speed to go outside the tackles like an AD or CJ, so I play them for the cutback or run between the tackles most of the time.
The reason the safety was out of position was probably more due to the threat of Manning passing out of play action than because of excellent blocking, coming off a 57 pass attempt game. The addition of the 2nd TE allowed us to run and run well against dime formations.
Luckily, that's been the case for over a decade now.
Our RBs usually have one less defender to contend with at the LOS. One fewer man in the box. Strangely, it helps them be pretty consistent in gaining 3-4 yards and not having many negative plays (Edge was the model of 4.2 yard consistency for years) but it also limits their upside because that safety is back there helping contain tha passing game, or in this case, long runs (Edge, especially after his injury, was a model of consistency in not breaking anything past about 12 yards.) IIRC, Joe (and Dom) and Donald all share those patterns—probably because of the D’s focus on Manning. Good success rate, few negative plays, few home runs.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
And the most wins of the decade.

Just. This. Incredible.
Brody could end up being a great pickup by Polian and Co. It looks like an additional OLineman out there. I read that Brody was a OLineman at Oklahoma, then switched. I would like to see how well, he does on the seam route and what kind of athleticism he possesses
