Tickets. Another home game would be great. Checking the latest ticket prices for a home game on ebay or colts.com indicate that prices are higher than ever. With another game on the schedule, the ticket prices should go down since the price demand will decrease.
Injuries. A longer season does not mean more injuries. Maybe the coaches will gain some common sense and pull the 1st string when they are ahead by 24 points.
Talent evaluation. Pre-season does not evaluate talent like a regular season game. Against many teams, they pull their 1st string once we pull our 1st string. I would rather have our 2nd stringers play against a desperate and playoff hopeful 1st string team at the end of the season to evaluate talent.
Stats. Statistics are meaningless to a single football game or a Superbowl champion. When I attend an NFL football game I am cheering for the entire team, not for a particular player to accumulate a certain amount of stats. Stats are misleading and don't add enjoyment to the game. So don't give me the argument about how 18 game seasons will make a 1000 yard rusher record meaningless. The stats are already meaningless. I just don't care. Past performance doesn't indicate anything about the future success. Any given Sunday either team can win.
Longer Season. Why not extend the season to the end of February? It makes the Winters more bearable.
My first real post. Don't be kind.
