Colts Release 2010 Seventh Round Pick Ray Fisher
After releasing Adam Terry earlier today, the Colts have decided to cut seventh-round selection Ray Fisher. After a mediocre camp and preseason, Fisher is at best destined for the practice squad. It's a disappointing ending to what could have been a feel-good story about "local boy does good."
Good luck Fish, in whatever your next adventure.

Too bad for Fisher
Colts FO has to be looking at somebody else for CB depth. Alphonso Smith from Denver? The guys hot and cold, but worth a look.
Interesting
I wonder what this means for Brandon James. I thought the Colts would keep one of the two for kick returning duties. I know a lot of people were up in arms over the whole muffed td incident but I for one still have faith that James can be a impact player in this league. Mistakes can be made but I feel that fourth preseason game performance of his may have been a classic case of redemption.
Maybe that mistake is water under the bridge. At least it happened in a preseason game. I would rather it not have happened at all obviously. The kid is electric. He can be a versatile offensive weapon. We’ve longed for a dynamic kick returner. We had one in our grasp and let him go(Roby). I don’t want us to make that same mistake again.

I think BJames makes the 53
The team really seems to want him. I’m sure they weren’t thrilled by the fumble, but anyone can make a single mistake. He is electric and they were running him with the first team awhile. I think he was planned to make the team before the fumble, then his performance in the Bengals game solidified his spot.
Surprise!
I’m sure he’ll find a job. So Devin Moore and Brandon James are Colts this year?

So was I, he seemed to be the missing link our special teams needed for getting Manning and the offense to good field pos.

I’m not sure you can say he had a mediocre preseason. Fisher averaged 33 yards in return on 4 chances, that seems pretty good to me. Also, Fisher had the least amount of chances to prove what he can do. James by far had the most chances.
Hope Fisher can make the practice squad.
