Tom Brady can now buy a new man purse.. possibly
The Patriots and Tom Brady could reach contract agreement within 24 hours
The Patriots andTom Brady appear on the verge of a contract extension that would keep the franchise quarterback in New England through 2013. Thanks to the work of the Herald’s Ron Borges, Karen Guregian and I, sources say that Brady has been offered a three-year extension believed to be worth $58-million. That works out to $19.3-million annually, according to sources close to the negotiation.
This would be in addition to the $6.5-million dollars he’s on the books for this year.
The Brady camp has yet to formally agree, but a deal could be in place within the next 24 hours, the Herald has learned.
While this could be portrayed as a four-year, $64-million deal, that’s not the reality of it, according to the source. Brady would not accept a deal that pays him less per year than Eli Manning, who is making $16.4 million per season.
Eli's gonna be pissed.. but why compare to Eli and not Peyton Tommy?

why not?
Eli makes more than Peyton and there’s no way on this earth that should have happened.
Keep the faith!
question for you Marima
what do you think of the rumored terms? I was kinda surprised it was for so short a period, but I suppose for a guy who has 3 rings and seems to have his mind moving toward family, not entirely surprising.
How can you not love a team that does this?
eh, I don't know where the numbers came from
in the initial report, which is still unconfirmed. Personally I think it’s a bit shorter than I expected, but there could be an agreement that it would be revisited once the terms of the new CBA come into place.
I’m waiting to see what the final numbers are (and that there is an actual agreement signed first) before reacting.
Keep the faith!
yeah, new rumors are
that it’s 4 years, which makes a little more sense

Hang on sloopy, sloopy hang on.. O H I O
While Brady would look at it as a 4 year 64 million deal
I’m sure Tom Condon would only look at it as a 3 year 58 million deal, asking 20+ million annually for Peyton.
I’m hoping for a 6 year 100 million deal still.
Update
Tom Brady-QB- Patriots Sep. 7 – 6:33 pm et
After talks escalated Tuesday, ESPN is now confirming a Boston Herald report that Tom Brady is close to signing a contract extension with the Patriots.
ESPN’s sources initially called the Herald’s report “wrong” and “inaccurate,” but Adam Schefter conceded that reporter Ron Borges was “onto something.” Per Schefter, the deal “gaining momentum” is expected to be a four-year extension, which is the same length as his previous two extensions. The new contract could be in place before the start of the regular season, giving Brady $18-20 million annually.

The pic
If the photo in the ad wasn’t photoshopped, then CP should really take his publicist out to the woodshed on this one.
Love ‘Scootin’ Rivers’, too.
"My goal is to be the person my dog seems to think I am."
"I'm all lost in the supermarket/ I can no longer shop happily/ I came in here for the special offer/ A guaranteed personaility."
