Breaking News: Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady In Auto Accident

WEEI is reporting New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was in an auto accident this morning.

According to the report Brady was "shaken" and it was believed that the jaws of life were used in the accident and that a pole was down at the scene. An Audi with New Jersey plates and a Ford min-van were thought to be involved. Brady did not go to the hospital, walked away from the scene and was reportedly on his way to work at Gillette Stadium.

Seems like Tommy is OK if he did not go to the hospital. Still, his condition warrants further follow-up with this. Here's hoping he's OK.

A law enforcement source confirmed a WEEI radio report that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was involved in a two-car accident on the corner of Gloucester Street and Commonwealth Avenue in Boston this morning.

According to WEEI, it was “more than a minor fender-bender.” It involved an Audi with New Jersey license plates and a Ford minivan, and emergency personnel had to use a Jaws of Life cutting device to extricate the driver of the minivan.

Brady was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital after the accident at Commonwealth Avenue and Gloucester Street, the source said..

A Boston police spokeswoman confirmed an accident at 6:34 a.m. at that location, involving one person who was transported to Brigham and Women’s, but did not release the name of the injured person.

WEEI also reported that Brady had contacted the Patriots since the accident and was on his way to Gillette Stadium.

how appropriate is it that Brady was taken to a women's hospital?

I only say that now, knowing that he is ok.
But still, the irony………

We know Tom wasn't driving a mini van. That van looks like someone took

a can opener to it. But the other car doesn’t seem that damaged. It’s really strange. How about the person in the van? Injured or OK?

I'm thinking brady

climbed out of his Audi and the Jaws of Life were used on the minivan. Hope everyone’s OK.

Good to know he's alright.

The NFL’s really not that fun without a healthy Tom Brady in it.

And a further development...
“WEEI is reporting New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was in an auto accident this morning.”

Witnesses reported Brady laying on his back on the street, asking a police officer why he didn’t throw a flag for roughing the quarterback.
