2011 NFL Draft: What Are Colts Priorities?

Stay connected for news and updates

I've been asked by the SB Nation Mother Ship to come up with the Colts draft needs and wants for the 2011 NFL Draft. Before I send my little write-up, I wanted to know what some of you out there are thinking. Obviously, problem areas like offensive line, defensive tackle, and now safety are areas of need.

Anything else?

In terms of first rounders, the Colts pick at #22, and Mocking The Draft has Indy taking Derek Sherrod of Miss State:

22. Indianapolis Colts (10-6): Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State. Indy has been trying to replace former starting left tackle Tarik Glenn for years. They've gotten by simply because Peyton Manning is great, but if they can add a quality pass protector like Sherrod, they can't pass on the chance.

Other players possibly available in the early 20s are:

Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin

Tyron Smith, OT, USC

Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College

J.J. Watt, DT, Wisconsin
