You're glad the season is over, Really?

If you've read my other fan posts by now you have probably guessed I have the power to read people minds. Including but not limited to: Jim Caldwell, Bill Polian, Peyton Manning, and all Colt fans.

But what you don't know is that extends to dogs as well. One dog, anyway, my pet terrier, Chad. His real name isn't Chad, I changed it to protect his anonymity. In fact Chad is my main source for all Colts related thoughts, observations and opinions. So if you attack me, you are really attacking a cute little dog. You wouldn't do that, would you?

Me and Chad are true blue Colt Fans. As always on game day I took him for a walk just before settling in for the game. After Folk's kick went through the uprights, Chad and I sat in silence for about 18 minutes and then Chad said something I just couldn't believe. He turned to me, cocked his head and said, "I'm glad the season is finally over."

At first I couldn't fathom how he could make such a shocking statement. But then it hit me. You see, about a year ago, Chad lost control of himself. He started defecating everywhere uncontrollably. This fall it got worse, he began eating his own feces, which led to more defecation and yeah you guessed it. A vicious cycle began to spiral out of control.

Today, I'm only going to look at the first quarter, so I can savor the last game of the season. Maybe I'll get to rest of the game, maybe not. Jeez, I wish the Colts would have beat the Jets, so I could watch them play the Steelers. Whether they could beat the Steelers or not I would have loved to watch Peyton and the gang, give it their best shot.

Special Teams will be ignored. If there is one thing we can all agree on it is that the Special Teams is a disaster. Either way here goes that jump thing.

Indianapolis - 15:00

1st-10, IND20 15:00 P. Manning passed to P. Garcon to the right for 9 yard gain

Great protection, Reggie clears out for Blair on the right. Peyton throws just behind Garcon, who makes good a

catch. Don't think Peyton expected such a great move by Pierre, Cromartie didn't touch him. If Peyton leads PG,

most likely a 1st down results.

2nd-1, IND29 14:26 P. Manning incomplete pass to the right

Everyone does their job, Tamme drops a ball that hit him in the hands.

3rd-1, IND29 14:20 J. Addai rushed to the right for 2 yard loss

Pollak and Linkenbach move their guys. Everyone does their job except Tamme.  He is driven back 4 yards.

Tamme and Blair are good backups, unfortunately that's all the are.

NY Jets - 13:29

1st-10, NYJ27 13:29 M. Sanchez incomplete pass down the middle

Freeney, Mathis, Moala collapse pocket. Brackett breaks up pass. So close to a Sancheese sandwich.

2nd-10, NYJ27 13:25 L. Tomlinson rushed to the right for 23 yard gain

Mathis shoots down the line. Loses containment. Angerer blocked by Hartsock.

1st-10, 50 12:57 L. Tomlinson rushed to the right for 1 yard gain

Moala penetration forces LT laterally and Angerer knives through for the tackle.

2nd-9, IND49 12:19 M. Sanchez passed to L. Tomlinson to the left for 5 yard loss

Conner makes great open field tackle.

3rd-14, NYJ46 11:33 M. Sanchez passed to J. Cotchery to the left for 7 yard gain

Jets play into our strength. Sanchez didn't have much time, dumps it off and we get the ball back.

Indianapolis - 10:56

1st-10, IND20 10:56 J. Addai rushed to the left for 4 yard gain

Addai makes something out of nothing. To resign Addai or not to resign Addai, that is the question.

2nd-6, IND24 10:17 P. Manning passed to B. White to the left for 5 yard gain

Blair finds a hole, Manning hits him.

3rd-1, IND29 9:38 P. Manning passed to B. White to the right for no gain

3rd and 1 Blair tackled short. Tamme was suppose to draw Pool. Would Clark have? As Mr.Skinnyhead (that's what my wive calls Collinsworth) observed Garcon was held. It's not in my nature to complain about officiating, so I'll leave that to others.

NY Jets - 9:04
1st-10, NYJ38 9:04 M. Sanchez sacked by D. Muir

Freeney forces Sanchez to step up in the pocket. Moala's penetration forces a double team creating a hole for Muir to lumber through and crush Sanchez.

2nd-15, NYJ33 8:32 S. Greene rushed up the middle for 6 yard gain

If Dawson doesn't takes himself out of the play...he would have missed the tackle anyway. Jerry Hughes would have at least waved at Greene, perhaps distracting him. I don't know, I'm grasping at straws. Dawson leaves one with no other choice.

3rd-9, NYJ39 7:51 M. Sanchez passed to J. Cotchery to the right for 10 yard gain

Gary Brackett tries to change the play the at last minute. Brown backs off too much from Cotchery. Brackett and Brown had a chance to stop Cotch from getting the first. They didn't.

1st-10, NYJ49 7:10 M. Sanchez incomplete pass to the right

Sanchez had Keller right in front of him on the rollout off play action. Not sure why he threw it way, but thanks all the same.

2nd-10, NYJ49 7:04 S. Greene rushed up the middle for 2 yard gain

Muir gets Mangeld, that Mangold is a beast. R. Mathews fights through the block and makes the play.

3rd-8, IND49 6:21 M. Sanchez incomplete pass to the right

Not bad coverage not very good either by lacey, but that was all Sancheese. Bad throw.

Indianapolis - 6:07

1st-10, IND20 6:07 D. Rhodes rushed to the right for 1 yard gain

That play was going nowhere.

2nd-9, IND21 5:50 NY Jets committed 5 yard penalty

Quick snap,  quick 5 yards this play alone is worth not tanking on the season. I love when Manning catches 12 men on the field nearly as much as an 80 yard bomb.

2nd-4, IND26 5:21 D. Rhodes rushed up the middle for 3 yard gain

Rhodes got every yard possible up the middle. If he bounces it outside, appears like he would have got the first.

3rd-1, IND29 4:39 P. Manning incomplete pass to the right

Good protection. Blair half step slow. Collie makes the catch. Garcon is calling for the ball down the sideline. If we leak Rhodes out to the left the flat is completely open. I can't see Wayne on the screen, apparently no one else did either...all night long.

NY Jets - 4:23
1st-10, NYJ42 4:23 S. Greene rushed to the right for 4 yard gain

Jets OL line beat our DL.

2nd-6, NYJ46 3:45 S. Greene rushed up the middle for 4 yard gain

Brackett sheds his blocker but is hit by Dawson who is running around in circles. Seriously go look at it. Brackett should have made one of his darting shoestring tackles but Dawson runs backwards, reaches out and whacks Brackett in the head. Let me put it another way. Dawson spins away from the play and in the process takes himself and Gary Brackett out of the play. I'm OK with him taking himself out but come on let the other guys play.

3rd-2, 50 3:00 M. Sanchez incomplete pass to the right

Freeney gets a hand on Sanchez, causing an arrant throw. I'm sure you remember the play. I bet you wanted a strip/sack like I did.

Indianapolis - 2:45

1st-10, IND13 2:45 P. Manning passed to D. Rhodes to the left for 12 yard gain

Play action pass to Rhodes, here we go enough with this running the ball crap. Lets pass.

1st-10, IND25 2:15 D. Rhodes rushed to the left for 2 yard loss

Devan can't hold his block. OK fine whatever. We're setting up the pass, right?

2nd-12, IND23 1:40 P. Manning passed to P. Garcon to the right for 11 yard gain

Screen to Garcon, and he makes a great move. Is the Pierre from the 09 Playoffs back?

3rd-1, IND34 1:02 D. Rhodes rushed up the middle for 3 yard gain

DeVan does just enough to let Rhodes get the 1st. But that was more Rhodes than DeVan.

1st-10, IND37 0:21 D. Rhodes rushed to the left for no gain

What we are all ready at the last play of the 1st quarter? That went way too fast. If Blair maintains his block, Charlie doesn't need to cut him and can take on 52 Harris. Pollak has taken can of his assignment and is in perfect position to lead Rhodes to a possible 1st down. But Blair didn't hold, so...

That's pretty much it. Another what if game, in the ultimate what if season for the ultimate what if team.

Linkenbach did fine, Diem is more than expendable. I doubt he's wearing blue and white next season. Tamme is not the heir apparent to Dallas Clark, for the reasons many have speculated, weak blocking and he doesn't command enough double coverage. Blair White is nothing more than backup.

Chad what that you say boy? "You don't see the point of playing next season either. As long as Caldwell and Polian are running the show it will be another lost season."  Well, little buddy, you might get your wish if that CBA thing doesn't get figured our.

Prediction: Whitlock make another ridiculous prediction about the Colts after Gruden doesn't become coach of the Colts. It goes something like this.

Prediction: In 1 month, Peyton Manning unmasked. Revealed to actually be Jeff George in disguise.

Don't worry. I'm buddies with Jason. He told me it is OK to make something up, if it gets you attention.
