I have an honest question for all Colts fans..
Really? Really?! Do you seriously think Peyton might actually leave Indy over these minor issues? Sure he got sacked a lot, sure he has issues with the Coaching staff, but he is no Diva. Peyton would talk abotu it with Polian before leaving. No, he WILL before leaving. He might leave sometime, yes, but not now. This is too little of an issue.
This is a future Hall of Famer. He is a loyal player. He has worked so hard to build this team, a team with "bust" draft picks that were turned into stars, and a team that still went 10-6 missing probably 12 or 13 of last year's 22 starters(This is an estimate, and when I say Missing I mean at least missed 2+ games)
Moreover, this would never happen because PeyPey is no diva, and if it HAD to happen, it would be behind closed doors and it would not be a public scene. It would be handled professionally. Do realize that if Peyton had a HUGE issue with Caldwell, one that he could not overcome, he would go to Irsay or Polian and kindly, not like a drama queen, ask them to remove the coaching staff or he would demand to leave. The Colt's, then, being the respectful team they are, would probably replace Jim. All drama aside, they would simply state a very commotion-free reason and get Peyton a new coach.
Fact of the matter is, Peyton is not leaving. The O-line, the Coaching staff, the injuries, this can be overcome. It WILL be overcome. If it is an issue, we will see new coaches, and will trade/draft new offensive linemen before we release Peyton. 24 or 34 years old, he is our Franchise. If this had to happen, we would replace who we need to quietly, and without drama. That is who we are.
I want someone to give me a bias free, and honest reason why I should believe Peyton is leaving. O-line issues are not enough to convince me, because he didn't go through a 30 sack season. Remember, we were banged up. Peyton knows that.
Now, as always,
GO HORSESHOES.
