So I've been a Colts fan for about 14 years or so now. I've never actually *been* to Indy (wanna go), but I've seen the Colts play twice, once in Carolina and once in Jacksonville. I bleed Blue and White, and have the shirts, jerseys, hats, SI covers, and DVD's to prove it. My job, however, moved me to Pittsburgh last March. When I moved here I said I'd pull for the Steelers AS LONG AS they weren't playing against the Colts. But I haven't been able to do it. All I can think about is the 2005 (I think that was the year) playoffs in which Jerome Bettis fumbled the ball at the end of the game and then our idiot kicker missed the frikkin tying field goal. Shanked it even. And then that BS super bowl against Arizona.
Now, though, the Steelers are in the Super Bowl. I kinda wanna pull for 'em in the SB since I live here now, but I almost feel like I'm letting down the Colts by doing so. What do you think? Should I pull for the Steelers in the Super Bowl, or just watch as a neutral observer? Obviously, I'd NEVER pull for the Steelers over the Colts, but the Colts are done for the year and it might be fun to pull for the same team with all my neighbors just for this game. I could even wear a Colts hat while I pull for the Steelers, just so no one gets the wrong idea.
Then again, I still think Roethlisberger is a total douche, so maybe I'll just pull for Green Bay anyways. :D
