The Colt's are out of the playoffs, and whether or not there is going to be a season next year, there is going to be an NFL Draft.
As a Colt's fan I'm looking up mock drafts left and right, and this one I came across is particularly interesting.

If Polian doesn't draft an offensive tackle in round one, you can guarantee there will be many Indianapolis Colts fans outraged.
After round one it's kind of a scramble as to who, or what we will draft.
A lot of people say wide receiver.
Others are saying defensive tackle.
I came across a website with a very pro style mock draft, and this is who they said we were going to take.
1. Derek Sherrod - This is a very popular pick around here. We need an offensive tackle, he is an offensive tackle...it's a perfect situation. This mock draft says that if we don't like Sherrod that Carimi will be available for us. If we don't like either of them the mock also says that Castonzo will be available. Not to mention if we decided to draft a guard instead, there is Pouncey available for us. This is all according to the mock draft so things are subject to change, but all four of those guys sound like a nice first round pick.
2. Stephen Paea - This guy is in a mixed bag of uncertainess when it comes to him being in a mock draft. Some mocks I've seen have him in the top 15. Others I've seen him late 1st round. Stephen won't be able to play in the Senior Bowl this weekend because of an injury. This mock thinks Paea will fall all the way down to 53. Some thought he would be an early second round, but clearly this mock thinks he's going to fall because of his inability to compete in the Senior Bowl. Stephen Paea in round two would be great, especially since some people want him in round one. Whether he will be there I don't know, but if he is I don't see how the Colt's could pass on him. He would definitely be a nice prospect at defensive tackle, since ours could use some upgrading.
3. Austin Pettis - I don't know much about this guy. I haven't really watched anything about him, but I hear people at the Senior Bowl saying good things. People on this website seem to want to draft him, and I've heard people saying we might need to trade up in round two to get him. I don't really know why this mock has him in round 3, but regardless if he's there that would be a great pickup. People say he could also be a kick/punt returner, so that could clear up space if we put Blair White on our practice squad. So this guy can play multiple positions for us, and automatically sure up a not so impressive special teams. Not to mention Reggie is getting up there in age, and we've been hit by injuries at the wide receiver position. I'm not saying he'll be a number one guy, but he seems like he could sure up a few things for us.
So if the first three rounds in our draft consisted of Derek Sherrod/Other, Stephen Paea, and Austin Pettis, is anybody going to be complaining?
I know I won't be.
I was one of those guys who thought Paea should be a Colt, and if we could snag him in round two I would be absolutely amazed, especially since we got our first round offensive tackle we've been dying to get.
A nice offensive tackle, a nice defensive tackle who falls due to injury, and a wide receiver who can sure up the kick/punt returning we've been trying to find for years. Sounds like a good draft to me.
I hope this mock draft will hold true, but then again that's why it's called a mock draft.
What do you guys think about these three picks?
Go Blue!
