I'm not going to waste any more time complaining about how sad I am that the season is over, or moaning about who is to blame. This is going to be a positive minded post. If you have a problem with that, or feel like writing negative comments, do it elsewhere or I will fight you.
I don't care what anybody says. I'm proud of the way we played this season. Yes, it was gut-wrenching, painful, and hard to watch at times. But consider this, we were 1 more injury away from having to sign Keanu Reeves and Orlando Jones (if you don't get that movie reference, I hate you). Did we quit? Did we "tank for the sole purpose of getting a higher draft pick?" No. We overcame a period in the season in which we looked like we couldn't of even beaten a JV team from Pike High School, won 4 straight games, and won the division.
Of all the things that didn't go right this season, one thing that cannot be denied is the team's effort. This team proved, every single week, that they will not quit. Regardless of what everybody else was saying, thinking, and posting, nobody in uniform threw in the towel. That alone gives me ample reason to already be excited for next season. I have no doubt we are gonna come back with our guns loaded next season (assuming all lockout issues are resolved). EVERYBODY will be back with something to prove next year. Everybody from the coaches, to Taj Smith will be out for blood.
No fellow Colts fans, this season did not go according to plan. But we need to take a step down off of the angry pedestal and appreciate what we did accomplish this season. Hey, it may not be Super Bowl banner, but there will be another AFC South Division Champions banner being hung in the off-season. I for one, look forward to seeing it, and look forward to building on this seasons accomplishments and experiences.
Peace, Love, and Go Colts.
