Eric Foster Suffered Dislocated Ankle Monday Night Against Bucs
Don't watch this if injuries make you squeamish.
Pretty horrible injury, and it clearly affected the entire team when Eric Foster was laying flat on the turf at Raymond James Stadium, clutching his leg in agony. The injury recalled Joe Thiesman's gruesome leg injury many years ago at the hands of Lawrence Taylor.
Tyler Brayton, Foster's teammate and the player who accidentally fell on the fourth year defensive tackle's ankle, seemed most visibly shaken.
Foster stayed in a hospital in Tampa overnight. He used the time to tweet to us fans:
Thank u all 4 such kind words. I thank u Lord in Advance. Women around the world gettn treated 4 cancer. May God have mercy on all o us.
Everyone from Colts fans to Lebron James tweeted 'get well soon' wishes to Foster. No. 68 will have surgery on the ankle today in a Tampa hospital. His season is likely over. Look for the Colts to promote Ollie Ogbu from the practice squad to replace Foster.

I hope his injury isn't
career-ending. He has a lot of heart. I really like Foster. And, I do remember the Theisman injury. I can still remember watching LT’s concern about getting help on the field immediately. It’s really bad when your leg is turned around in such an unnatural position.
He gives 100% on every play
Get well soon Eric . Colts will miss his enery.
The injuries keep coming...
And this team keeps fighting! I love the way he plays the game, with such heart…being a player on the sidelines that had to get you when he said “Let’s go!” I hope you get well soon Eric. I’ll be praying for you. Here is too all the other players that were hurt last night as well…get well soon!
It was really amazing how Foster was lifting everybody's spirits
as he left on the cart. He is a leader. I can see why the team loves him.

Foster is a strong man, especially in spirit. I’m sure most normal people would have passed out from the pain.

Oh wow, that is not good news
When I saw the ankle dangling, I thought “broken leg” which isn’t even season-ending necessarily. Now that I hear “dislocated ankle,” I’m thinking it tore most of the ligaments to be positioned as it was on the field =(
Hence, the need for surgery which is likely season ending and possibly career ending.
BAD LUCK for him and Colts
Colts deserve some good luck and some much better coaching!!!! gotta help CP7 out when they blitz,,, where were the screen passes , 1 to Addai all night and they should ahve had him throw that receiver screen to Garcon and Wayne 10 times and that stupid call at midfield when it was 3rd and inches- just get the first down QB sneak would have worked Peyton isn’;t there to cover up all the bad coaching NOW!!!!
Exactly. Why wouldn't you sneak it there?
Or use Carter. Isn’t that why he was drafted?
Carter is avg 3.5 yds a carry
He cant catch the ball, and he cant pass block. Hes NOT the answer right now either

He was a good member of the Colts D-line
But his season is over. He and Nevis played really well last night and against the Steelers. I hope he gets well soon.
Pat McAfee for President 2016
dislocared can be severe
Jason kendall of the pirates dislocated his ankle once. Meaning he tore all ligaments and the bone while not broken protruded through his skin. He played again.

Gotta love E-Fos
I’m not a very emotional person but watching him on the cart trying to pump up his teammates after the injury made my fog up a bit. I really hope the damage is not as bad as it looks and I really want him back next year. Feel bad for Brayton too, he was cleary shaken by the fact that he had any part of it.
My heart goes out to Foster. Get well soon
on the flip side, Jerry Hughes registered his first sack!

Yep. It could have been a game changer.
Unfortunately, the penalty negated it.
I was defanitly glad I was in my son's room when the injury happened
Then getting more pizza during the subsequent replay, not sure I want to see his foot turned around backwards.
