The Colts made some recent moves that's kind of flying under the radar. Jarred Fayson was signed to the practice squad. He is an Anquan Boldin type receiver that can return punts/kicks. I say the Colts sign him to the active roster and see what he can do. Of course that would mean releasing someone. A good place to start is with Anthony Gonzalez or one of the fullbacks. I think the Colts have 3 on the roster.
Scott Lutrus is a very underrated linebacker that can also play special teams. Again, I say let him play and see what you have. The reports says he has good sideline to sideline range. He might help to replace Gary Brackett who I don't think will be missed that much if released.
Jarret Brown is a smaller version of Cam Newton. He has a live arm, runs a 4.50 forty but could stand to get a little developing. Again, give him a couple of series every game to see if he is serviceable for next year. He might be a good 3rd QB behind Luck and whatever veteran is signed if Orlovsky isn't that veteran. I think Brown was signed to the practice squad so someone needs to go. Easy decision for me. I say let Painter go now. He clearly is NOT the answer in any capacity; starter, backup...nada!!!!
