These Colts are NOT going to the Superbowl

It's pretty clear if the season ended today that these Colts can't make it to the Superbowl, and certainly won't win it.  Clearly, they're on track to win their division (only 6 games back with 7 games to go, one of which is against the Texans, so that's like 2 games).  But let's look at the playoff picture.

Star-divide

We probably have to assume for now that they are not going to get a first round bye - maybe I'm wrong there.  Wildcard weekend, they would face the Steelers. They've already, basically, proven that they're better than the Steelers, but in the playoffs you have to be able to stop the run.  The Steelers smash-mouthed football beats the Colts again in the playoffs.  Even if they luck into  the Ravens, same story.  If they manage to somehow sneak past the first round, this team has shown enough stuff in practice and during press conferences to beat average teams, but not the perennial powerhouse Bengals they are likely to face in round 2.

So, one and done, maybe out in the Divisionals. Squash those Superbowl hopes right now so you don't get emotionally destroyed in the playoffs. Same old Colts.

Puff-puff...

Give. };0)

I see great things in baseball. It's our game - the American game. It will take our people out-of-doors, fill them with oxygen, give them a larger physical stoicism. Tend to relieve us from being a nervous, dyspeptic set. Repair these losses, and be a blessing to us. ~Walt Whitman

It’s unlikely another division team can put together such a streak—9 in a row.

If we get to 0-15 are we going to pull the starters?

In Polian We Trust

I made the first Polian mention! It is officially a Stampede Blue FanPost!

But they they'd probably cause the Jags' QB to fumble and recover for a TD, then pick him off a few times, and make us win

Then we’ll yell at Polian for ruining our change at a perfect season, and the football gods will make Luck a bust because we pulled the starters.

It looks like...

the Colts are going to be the first team to go 0-19 and lose the Superbowl.
