What would You do if your were the Colts New GM?
Here is the situation, Bill and Chris Polian are gone, YOU are the new GM. It is March 31st, you have the #1 draft pick, for the 2012 draft. Peyton Manning has gotten a clean bill of health and has been throwing as well as he ever has, by all accounts he's going to be the same great Peyton for the next few years. This years draft looks to be a good draft for QB's WR and DB's what would you do as the Colts new GM?
Let me know if I need to add another option to the poll

Time to tell Manning goodbye
The reality is that even if Peyton comes back 110%, which is a possibility, he wont be on this team. Luck is the guy in 2012 and beyond. To try and win now would be unfair to this fan base and this team. It may suck to see Peyton winning games and possibly another Superbowl with another team, but to be honest, he really only has 2 or 3 more years of competitive play. I just want this to be over and I want to know that we have a young gun ready to carry the torch. Peyton is GONE! Suck for luck is rounding third and its time to bring the young man home to Indiana. With Peyton gone, we will be able to retain true impact players for this squad…Reggie and Robert….That in and of itself is enough reason for me to look forward to a Manningless Colts in 2012. #suckforluck
I agree
This is the time to make a clean break from Peyton. I know that seems like the unspeakable thing to do but why get him for POSSIBLY two more years when Luck could possibly be around for 10-15 years. I just think it is in the best interest of this club to go with Luck wether P.M. is healthy or not. Also, this is the year to be active in free agency for two players-A DT,SS, WR.
Yeah....Impact?
Huge impact Reggie and Robert are having this year right? I think we should trade the pick for more picks and get either RG3 or Barkley…let them sit a year or 3…use the additional picks and get Peyton another ring or 2…or 3. Then we let the new young QB take the reins and give Peyton OC job.
How I would run things
1). Fire or demote Caldwell
I consider Caldwell ineffective as an Head Coach, so I will either fire him off the team and get a suitable replacement or just demote him back to his original position.
2).Trade the #1 Overall pick (If Manning’s healthy for 2012)
I can possibly get a “King’s Ransom” for the pick, I’ll take two 2012 1st Round picks, two 2012 2nd Round Picks, one 2012 3rd Round and a 2013 1st Round.
3). Draft players by position that are official team needs
We need more O-Line help, tons of secondary help, and WR depth. No RBs or TEs needed on Offense and no DEs or LBs needed for Defense.
4). Find a competent Defensive Coordinator who specialize with the cover 2 scheme or any other zone coverage schemes.
With a new defensive coordinator and new scheme/philosophy with players that excels in zone coverage, Our defense should be able to help put games away for us and maintain any lead that offense gives us.
5). Resign key players and get some FAs
Garcon, Gonzales, Mathis, Wayne should all be resigned with vet mins., Brackett can either take a pay cut or walk. Freeney should also take a pay cut for cap reasons.
Colts fan since Tony Dungy's 48th Birthday.
Free will is an illusion, but pragmatically, the illusion of self (ego), choice, freedom, consciousness, are all necessary for the game or struggle to move. No struggle, no universe.
Get well soon, Peyton Manning

Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!
