Why we should not draft Andrew Luck

Stay connected for news and updates

I know this post is going to get me blasted by about 99.7% of the people on this site but hear me out please. Drafting Andrew Luck does not mean the Colts will continue to be a success but more importantly it puts him in the horrible postion of having to follow Peyton and those shoes are not fillable. If Andrew succeeds it will be because Peyton laid the foundation and if he struggles most will say "Well he is no Peyton". Instead the Colts if he is healthy should keep Peyton, trade the pick to the Jets because "SEXY REXY" will pull a Mike Ditka and trade us all the Jets pick cause Mark Sanchez aint doing it. Then we can quietly draft either Kirk Cousins or Kellen Moore or Nick Foles and let them learn how to be an NFL QB without the pressure of being the focal point like Andrew would be. Then we build the roster for continued success and give Peyton at least 3 more years of Super Bowl chances. Drafting Luck only puts unseen pressure on a player who may succeed but will probably crumble trying to follow a legend. Let the massacre of my idea begin.
