The 2012 Pro Bowl rosters were announced at 7pm EST tonight via NFL Network. While the Pro Bowl usually serves to be more of a popularity contest than a true testament of "all-star" talent, it's still fun to see who gets to add the "Pro Bowler" designation to the beginning of their name.

This year, the Colts had only one Pro Bowl selection, DE Dwight Freeney, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise. I have to admit that I was disappointed (not shocked though) that Pat Angerer's breakout season was not rewarded after the fan voting. Angerer was second in fan voting among AFC linebackers.

The Patriots and 49ers earned the most player selections with eight. As for blatant snubs, the first that comes to mind is the exclusion of Giants WR Victor Cruz's stellar season.

Congratulations to all of the players who earned selections. Most of them are very well-deserved.

What would you change, if anything, about the Pro Bowl rosters?
