Stampede Blue At The NFL Combine
The time is upon us to start thinking about 40 yard dash times, the vertical jump, how many reps of 225 can a player put up in the bench press, and will anyone lose to Rich Eisen in the 40? Yes, the NFL Scouting Combine starts tomorrow afternoon, and runs through next Tuesday, and we here at Stampede Blue will be giving you inside access to the Combine. Both myself and Collin will be in attendance at the Combine Thursday through Sunday, interviewing players, coaches, scouts, NFL Draftniks, and anyone else we may come across.
Here's the schedule the league gave to us, so you get an idea what content will be coming on which days:
Thursday, Feb. 24: Offensive Linemen, Kickers, Punters, Long Snappers, Tight Ends
Friday, Feb. 25: Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers
Saturday, Feb. 26: Defensive Linemen, Linebackers
Sunday, Feb. 27: Defensive Backs
Obviously, that means that each day we'll have a focus on the Colts, as the four main areas the Colts should be looking at (OT, WR, DL, S) are on different days. We're currently compiling a list of players we're going to try to interview, and BBS is lining us up with interviews with a few of the draft experts. Along with player interviews, we'll be taking some video of what it's like behind the scenes at the Combine. I'll also be interviewing players from Indiana schools for SB Nation Indiana, so make sure to check over there as well for more coverage. We'll probably have an open thread going over the weekend for those of you watching, and we'll pop in there as much as we can.
Joining us from SB Nation will be Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft, Kevin Ewoldt of Hogs Haven, VanRam from Turf Show Times, and JimmyK from Bleeding Green Nation. You won't have to go anywhere else other than SB Nation for coverage of the Scouting Combine.

WR???
Why would we ever go receiver?? Escpecially that early!
We have Wayne, Garcon, Collie, Gonzalez, White, Clark, and Tamme that we can throw too. That should be a position that we wouldnt even think of needing to fill till next year.
In my opinion it should be O-line, DB, DT, Safety, and Special Teamers.
The last few yrs we have been thin at corners escpecially with injuries so that position is just as in need as O-lineman…………… I just hope Bill Polian can get his Sh*t together this year and actually have a good draft…..In a league that is “what have you done for me lately”, Ol’ Bill is running out of time with his bust picks the last few yrs.
There has been multiple articles/fanposts written about the "need" for a receiver.
Most of focus is on the fact that there are questions about every receiver. Wayne is declining, has knee issues, and is in the last year of his contract. Garcon as of now is not an option for a No. 1 receiver, as he has issues with drops, and lack of concentration. We don’t know if Collie can play through another tackle. Gonzo hasn’t played in nearly 2 years. White played well this year, but isn’t a long term option. I’m with you in the fact that we have bigger needs, but I will understand if BP goes for a WR.
P.S. We had a good draft last year.
