With the impending lockout I was starting to wonder what all is involved. Will teams be able to work-out free agents? What about incoming rookies?
Most rookies workout with a variety of teams to showcase their skills and also to give teams a good idea of how that player might fit into their system. How will this work if the CBA expires? I remember following
Maurice Jones-Drew's blog on NFL.com prior to his draft and he worked out for probably a dozen or so teams doing drills like Punt returns and Shuttles.
Without a CBA are the Colts going to bring in players to see what they have, or will they be restricted to attending pro days. This could seriously hamper the Colts ability to scout the way they're used to. The same thing goes with free-agents and how this could put a delay on how long it will take for the FA signings to start coming in even after a new CBA is reached.
