I have this feeling the Colts are going to shock everyone this year by....selecting the player that the majority of the fans want them to pick. I believe that player will be an OT. We all know it makes the most sense, it's a pressing need, and barring a catastrophic blunder by any of the 21 teams ahead of them it is going to happen. The draft analysts have their favorites (which is subject to change at any moment), but mostly due to scouting combine performances. The one thing I will say about Polian and his bunch, they don't get caught up in combine performances as much as they do about whether a player can actually "play." Polian goes after "football players" and not freakish athletes. Remember when Vernon Gholston put up an insane combine performance and everyone thought he was going to be the next LT (Lawrence Taylor)? The Jets believed it and we know how that turned out. Something else I've been following up on that I haven't seen mentioned too much in this site is depth at WR in the upcoming draft. Two guys I really like that might be available when the Colts draft in the 3rd round are WRs Greg Little (UNC), and Denarius Moore (TN). Of the two I like Little better because he's the shiftier of the two. A former running back who is very dangerous after the catch and at 6'2” 220 pounds will be a nightmare for smaller DBs to cover. Moore is not a bad second choice if available either. He's got good speed, soft hands, and runs good routes. Below I have provided links with highlights of both. You decide who's better. I think you will be happy with either one if they fall to the Colts.
