Brody Eldridge - Much better than many thought
Here's a really great article breaking down Brody's blocking for the season. Had a lot more snaps than I thought he did, and performed much much better than it appeared. Good read.

In regards to blocking, yes.
It’s pretty well known that Clark isn’t a great blocker though.

OK
So if the Colts draft a TE, I will be sick!!!
TE is definitely one of a few roster spots that are absolutely stacked for us
Clark – Pro Bowl caliber receiver
Tamme – Excellent back up receiver/okay blocker
Eldridge – Phenomenal blocker
Robinson – …….. well… he shows up to practice very well, and usually on time….

Wrong
We have 4 TEs under contract for 2011. 4 will make the team, but only 3 are good enough to make it. So you need 1 more good one, and 2 more TC bodies. Numbers wise, there is a need.
After OT, DT, SS the biggest need might be TE.
It might be worth it to draft one in later rounds to get rid of Gijon
But with Dallas and Tamme as pass catchers, and Eldridge doing the blocking… even if we have just those three on the roster I think we’re fine. I would definitely list OG as one of our needs above TE.

Clark is coming back from a serious injury and Tamme and Eldridge played battered the whole year
4, who can help is a must
lost in caldwell's timeout FAIL#1 (why we retain him as head coach is fucking ludicrous)
but eldridge caught that ball entering the endzone and then gave it up and i mean we would have won, he’s a big guy he should have held on thats what i think is the difference between guys like Clark and guys like tamme and eldridge.
Well, he is what he is.
He never really posed a threat as a pass-catcher… and while dropping a wide open throw is definitely unacceptable, he’s a great blocking TE to have on the roster IMO. Especially considering our lack of O-lineman who can block.

I think a mid to late round TE is a true possibility. If he falls, I could see Lance Kendricks out of Wisconsin as a possibility. Big guy and a good blocker with soft hands. I would love to see Robinson off the team and have a TE corps like we did of old. Peyton will kill you all game long in a 2 TE set where both of them can catch.
