I want to start off by saying that I am here for purely selfish reasons and I will not try and hide that. I am completely mocked out at Arrowhead Pride and I'm sure many of you are ready for this thing to just be here already. There is a concensus at AP and I'm sure it's the same in a lot of places that a trade-back is the best case scenario. We are collectively split between 8-10 players right now. They range anywhere from Phil Taylor to Colin Kaepernick to Gabe Carimi to Kyle Rudolph.
I wanted to know from you guys, the people that know the most about your team, what your needs are for this draft...specifically the first round? I want to know because I want to know who I want to fall so we have a better chance at trading down. We pick right ahead of you and we need someone to fall that a team strongly believes you will take right behind us.
Are you looking for an OT? Maybe a Qb to groom for the future? I personally would love to trade back 7-10 spots and still grab Phil Taylor or Kyle Rudolph. There is a lot of press right now that we might be looking for an OT but we had a great rushing attack with two OT's that are under 26 years old. Our RT, Barry Richardson, is only 24 and had a very up-and-down year. He struggled a bit with his pass-blocking but was very good with the run and I think adding Rudolph, along with our pick from last year, Tony Moeaki, would give us a great double Tight-end look that would help us in situations where we face great pass rushers. It also gives Cassel another target that fits well with the types of passes he was successful with last year.
Thanks for any input and I hope you all have a great draft.....And for the record....I'm really tired of always losing to you guys and now we have to play you AGAIN in Indy...wtf?
