The more I hear about this surgery the more I am thinking it must of been a little bit more serious then the Colts are playing it off as being.
I understand that it wasn't the biggest injury in the world, and that the surgery was a minor one, but with all the recent stroies that have been coming out it sounds a little bit suspect.
First Irsay says there is nothing to worry about. Then Archie Manning comes out and says Manning isn't happy with the recovery process seeing as it is slower than he expected, and now I am hearing these reports of not only Manning not throwing since the surgerey (May 23), but that his recovery is projected to take from 6-8 weeks (NFL network). Sounds a little bit more concerning than the initial reports.
Now all that being said I am not that concerned. Manning is Manning. I am sure he will make a full recovery and be back to torching defenses as soon as the season starts.
But still, all the more reason to protect Manning, and get him a running game and good defense to send him out on the right note.
