Interesting take...
I think I’d want to re-sign Charlie Johnson to play guard rather than Devan, plus he provides insurance at LT/RT if something happens to our rookies.
I’d love to sign Cofield; but if we do, I doubt we re-sign Antonio Johnson. I’m betting our front office likes Moala, and want him to continue to start. If we get a 1-tech DT, I think he’d fit perfectly as our 3-tech.
And while I like Session, it’s just not the norm for the Colts to re-sign their LB’ers. I expect he won’t be back, and that Angerer will start in his place.

That’s a good point about Charlie. He’s much bigger than DeVan ,and he would stablize the middle a little bitter since he doesn’t have to move too much. I hate the Colt’s apparent bias to Moala; even though antonio is much better. Imagine Cofield + Johnson = a much better middle. Finally for Session, I think the Colts will keep him because he is the only colt’s linebacker who is respectable in build. Pat was a great bandage last season, but Session is the man (hopefully the front office will see it our way and keep him).
no Hughes?
While I agree he is a bust so far….I sincerely doubt he’ll get cut yet.
He was listing starters
Or major rotation players at least. This isn’t a 53 man roster.
I realized that after I wrote but....
I didn’t know you could start 4 defensive ends…I don’t think author was giving complete roster but was adding more than just starters (Foster and Dawson with Freeney and mathis)

Ugh
Wish the colts would stop being so stubborn with the middle of the D-Line. I am on the bandwagon for signing Cofield
It would be pretty awesome to get Roman Harper..

Castonzo and Ijalana were drafted to start
I heard reports that Ijalana might be starting at LG (I don’t know if that’s true) while Castonzo is our LT. That upgrades Manning’s blindside protection and buys him enough time to allow routes to develop.

I still hope we pick up a couple more free agents on offense for a big push for a couple years. Maybe a receiver and a running back. Burress would come cheap and would help to free up wayne to have a huge year and give manning the big receiver he hasnt really ever had and I’ve heard rumors that Reggie Bush would be interested in coming here, and personally i think he would be a better fit than addai being as that he is a better runner at this point. He is a hell of a receiver out of the backfield and he can block, and we have brown and carter to pick up the load on the every down plays. and what about Quintin Mikell??? he would look good in the colts secondary……
I think Mikell is the best option at SS
He is a good safety, he hits hard, and we could sign him for a year and then get a young safety in the draft….. that’d be nice.
I Like it
Other than Ijalana at RT, Ijalana I think will start as RG and CJ will start at RT. And I love you have anyone at FB cause that position really isn’t used by the Colts much. I guess just put Eldridge there. Although Hayden shouldn’t start at LCB, he will. He’s not paid to sit on the bench. Expect Hayden to start all 10 games before going down with injury. And I don’t understand why Colts signed Brett Swenson, but if Colts see Swenson in the future, Vinatieri’s not staying. And I’d rather not pay Devin Moore just for kick returns, since he’s not even that good, rather just put Pierre Garcon on the field and return kicks and White for punts.
I think we'll have some personnel surprises this summer.
Horn and Lefeged are both able returners. Horn is a tough (broke a bone in his wrist but still started every game) ST star that has very good hands, runs clean routes, and is willing to block. Lefeged is, well, he’s a safety.
Lefeged has a real good chance to be on the final roster. Depending on how Horn looks (and Lefeged’s return ability) I think we may release, or seek a trade of, one of our WRs.
And I agree with you. Hayden will start. I’m disappointed with him, but he has the ability to play really well. But for whatever reason he doesn’t.

My Vision
WR: Wayne
Slot: Collie
TE: Clark
LT: Costanzo
LG: Charlie Johnson
C: Saturday
RG: McClendon
RT: Linkenbach
QB: Manning
RB: Brown
- Offensive note: Ijalana spends his 1st season backing up RT and RG (unless forced into action by injuries). He was undercoached at Villanova and didn’t have OTAs to get up to speed.
LDE: Mathis
NT: Moala
UT: Antonio Johnson
RDE: Freeney
SAM: Angerer
MLB: Brackett
WLB: Conner
CB: Tryon
FS: Bethea
SS: Bullitt
CB: Powers
- Defensive notes: Nevis should become starting UT at some point in his rookie season. Chip Vaughn and Joe Lefeged will back up Bullitt, and Francisco will only return in an absolute disaster (like he did last year).
Should go with 3 WRs, 1 RB, 1 TE in your offensive "starters".
It’s your standard package, 70% of your plays are out of it.
