Curtis Painter and the Forfeit Rule

To anyone's knowledge, is there a rule against forfeiting games in the NFL? If Peyton is not ready, I really and truly believe the Colts should forfeit every ball game until he is ready. We have no chance of winning and very little chance of attaining a first down with Curtis Painter at quarterback. He is literally the worst player to ever play in the National Football League. If we forfeit, there is no chance of another important player (Dwight Freeney, for example) sustaining a season-ending injury in a game. In my mind, that is the practical and logical view of things. People who oppose this logic and suggest that the object of competitive sports is to try no matter the circumstances have obviously never seen Curtis Painter play football. Would the league allow us to forfeit for the good of the team?
