Blaine Gabbert + Jake Locker = bad news
Throughout the years, we have been able to dominate the AFC South in part because of weak competition from Jax and Tennessee. With Vince Young and David Garrard leading those two teams, they have always been inconsistent and never able to compete with the Colts. I enjoyed having two very weak qb's in our divisions for many years. I was upset when the Titans released VY. Now, with Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert, I think the Titans and Jax may have two Qb's here who are major improvements on what they had before. I know that Garrard is still starting, but all indications are that Gabbert is looking good, and I don't think it will be long before he starts. I know they are rookies, hopefully it's a while before they see improvement.
Of course, neither one of them is half as good as P NASTY.
By the way, I think the Colts have made major improvements on both lines, especially offensive, and if we stay healthy and Peyton's neck is ok we are going to win the Super Bowl in Indy.

Look at how we've dominated the Texans
And they have a top10 QB in Matt Schaub. I think it’ll be awhile before either Gabbert or Locker reaches that level, and if/when they do, it’s not guarantee of success.
Heck, the Jaguars & Titans seem to play us better over the years with Vince Young, Kerry Collins, & David Garrard as the starting QB’s than the Texans have with Schaub. I’m not too worried.

^^This
The problem with both of those teams is that they have always been a smash mouth running team backed up by a good quality defense. They’ve never had the offensive skill players to ever be an offensive juggernaut. Not to say they couldn’t run it up on you, but they were never teams like the Saints, Rams (of the early 2000’s) or the Colts.
Even with a Matt Schaub type QB, they still don’t have the manpower to really change that part of their team’s identity. If they were to say start changing that, then it’s a whole different world.
you're afraid of Gabbert?!?! hahaha
I was ecstatic when the Jags drafted him….. Gabbert is quite simply terrible and should have never even been drafted anywhere above the 3rd or 4th round. Coming from someone that lives in Missouri, we were all quite shocked (to say the least) that sports analysts considered him to be an elite college QB. 90% of Mizzou fans were HAPPY to see him go lol. Trust me, Gabbert won’t amount to anything.
Time will tell on both........
but if I had to place a bet today on which one would be a solid starter in the NFL 5 years from now I would place my money on Locker. Not too concerned with either but I think Locker has the tools to be solid IF he is developed properly.
Really??
You area afraid of Gabbert? David Garrard as of right now is better than Gabbert and Matt Hasselback will likely start for the titans. Regardless if Locker starts i definitely feel the colts starters are more than capable of handling two overrated rookies. I actually like Locker and i think he will be a very good player
I'm pretty comfortable that
by the time either of them are capable of being elite and leading their respective teams to a division title, Peyton will already be retired, stitting on his couch with his three rings on his mantle.
The Indianapolis Colts are going to be the 1st team to win a super bowl in their own stadium. 'nuff said.
lol funny
that’s a good one…
wait…that whole post was supposed to be sarcastic right?
