I see a few opening and backup spots being battled for before we open at Houston on 9/11. The 2nd running back is going to be very interesting. Brown vs. Carter. I like Brown’s running style, but the dude cannot pass block to save his life. On a side note, I would love to see the Colts try to package Brown for another DB. Gonzo and AC will battle for minutes at the slot. However, anyone else think Collie stays healthy and goes to the PB this year? The O-Line is just looking to stabilize. The biggest question is how long before Big Ben steps in and knocks Pollak out of that starting RG spot? I am also curious to see the battles on the D-Line and at LB. Can you believe it Colts fans? We should actually be excited about our D-Line!!!!! I can certainly see Tommie Harris, Drake Nevis and Colts fans favorite Eric Foster pushing for more minutes on the D-Line. Brackett and Angerer are guaranteed starters barring injury. These 2 playing together really excites me. These are 2 very smart football players who know how to hit and how to tackle. I look forward to seeing Sims and Conner battling it out for the other LB spot.

Brody Eldridge ?
I prefer Tamme, he was awesome the last season..
H-Back/Blocking TE
Tamme is a better fit for the move TE spot. But yeah, I’d like to see them experiment with both Clark and Tamme on the field at times.
Pollak doesn't make starting lineup either McClendon or Big
Surpass him which should be easy. I have questions that only preseason can answer on who should start RB. CB#2 is up for grabsies

Blocking TE
Yeah, I have Eldrige in for a blocking TE. Sorry I didn’t specify. I really hope the Colts can get Clark and Tamme on the field at the same time. Tough cover for a defense.
I hear a lot about McClendon, but I just haven’t seen anything to be impressed about yet. An empty beer bottle can block better than Pollak.
Lacey as #2 CB
Ohh jeez, I prefer Tryon to start over Lacey. I hope Kevin Thomas can over come his injuries and make an impact on D.
I think Jacques McClendon will be the starting Guard this season and will like to see Ijalana rotating on the line.
I love our LB Corps and I’m very stoked about Ernie Sims being in the lineup.
Colts fan since Tony Dungy's 48th Birthday.
Free will is an illusion, but pragmatically, the illusion of self (ego), choice, freedom, consciousness, are all necessary for the game or struggle to move. No struggle, no universe.
I am the most die-hard Colts fan in the city and state of New Orleans, Louisiana
why?
is angerer a sure fire starter? that guy has to be the most overrated colts player. well him or blair white
What's up hater?
Oh Angerer? Yeah, totally overrated – just led all rookie linebackers in tackles last season. No big deal though. Did I mention that he led all rookie linebackers in tackles last season, because I’m pretty sure that he led all rookie linebackers in tackles last season. Oh, and that’s after he only started in 11 games. You probably knew that though and have some other basis for you judgement, right? I mean, you have to – either that or you’re just being a douchebag.

I really dont know where the Angerer bashing came from
This is the second time ive seen this random “Angerer gets dragged 3 yards” argument. Which I understand theres no way to prove so its an easy argument to make. But how on earth can you discredit him by saying “tackles as a stat are worthless” and then back up your own argument with your own made up tackle statistic. Atleast tackles is an actual stat filed under the facts section, pretty sure yours is filed in the fiction section right next to Tom Sawyer.
lol
watch game film and you will see angerer get drug for 3 yards every tackle. hell, youtube his college footage. you can prove him getting drug around the field by actually watching the games. feel free to do so
tackles as a stat are reported from the teams. not a legit statistic. as i said earlier, try and comprehend, the colts credited more tackles than there were available plays one year.
“tackles” should be taken with a grain of salt.
Considering
I did watch a lot of Angerer’s film in college, I’d say your completely off base.
Did Angerer get dragged on a few plays? Sure he did….has other players? Absolutely. We threw a wide-eyed rookie into a hellstorm of injury nightmare and asked him to play. Most games, he did fairly well. He had a couple bad games, but shoot, most rookies DO. Especially on defense…
Your pissing in the wind, and unfortunately facts hold up better than opinions. Angerer is a guaranteed starter for the Colts this season unless they make a whopper of a trade/sign another free agent.
Fact is sometimes better than fiction :)

fact is
i was right and angerer gets drug around the field all the time.
also, the only reason angerer will start is because the coaches just start people for really no good reason. like a flip of the coin. look at last year
wheeler over anyone
richard over devan
link over pollak (not that pollak was good)
or once injuries hit, the crapshoot that was the starting lineup at lber. the coaches had no idea what to do.
angerer is the great white hope at lber with fans. he isnt nearly as good as people make him out to be.
yeah..
Harris will be a starter and Bracket, Angerer and Sims is by far our best choice at linebacker, though Connor will sneak in and out on long drives. Also think Tryon should get the start over Lacey.
Kavell Conner
is not getting much love right now. I’d like to see more of him.
CB and others
I don’t know if Thomas will ever get healthy, but there is a reason we selected him in the third round. Go to Youtube and check him out in coverage. he doesn’t get a lot of interceptions but he covers A LOT lot Revis from the jets. He won’t start the season as a starter but he will unseat Tryon be week four. Lacey is good but doesn’t tackle well, which is a must in a cover 2 scheme. Sims will push Conner, but the young kid is good, but Sim hits harder than sessions did. With Bob gone is the Secondary, we need that enforcer.
Small , Quick Linebackers
To play them you have to have VERY LARGE D-TACKLES to keep the guards off of them.
For some reason the Colts have never figured that out . I mean 320 and up !!
CB Issue
If Lacey starts, I think the Colts are in major trouble. Powers and Tryon to start. Lacey & Kevin Thomas to backup, though I heard Thomas is injured again, so Cornelius Brown. And TE I think should be Dallas Clark & Jacob Tamme. Eldridge can FB on short yardage plays or TE on short yardage. And Manning at QB? Comon, that doesn’t even need to be in the post.
