As previously announced, we have a sponsor for fantasy football this year. That sponsor is Yahoo! Sports, and we can make official 'Stampede Blue Leagues' using their tools and systems.

Site editor Matt Grecco and writer Eric Miller will be running the overall management of the leagues. We currently have just one league created, but we can make more depending upon interest from you. We are still planning what sorts of prizes we can offer this year for the winners (shirts, hats, an autographed picture of me getting punched in the face by Bill Polian, etc.). These awards aren't anything SB Nation or Yahoo! is suggesting. i just think that, for the effort one puts into FFL, having a reward at the end is kind of a nice incentive.

If you are interested in being part of a Stampede Blue league, please comment below or shoot Matt an email. Be sure to include in the email title that this is for fantasy football.

We'll try and break the leagues up in such a way so as to have one site writer in each. This way you can brag 'I kicked BBS' butt this week. He actually started Matt Cassel against me. HA!'

Just a couple notes

First, there will spots available for everyone who wants to participate and signs up before I wake up on Monday morning. After that I’ll just finish out that final league with people.

Second, for anyone that signs up here in the comments, be sure to check the email address you signed up for SB Nation with, as that is where the sign-up email will come from.

Third, please be semi-prompt in signing up once you get the email for the league. I won’t be sending anything out until tonight at the earliest, so don’t panic if you don’t get anything right away.

Lastly, reply here (or in the email to me) if there are any special rules you’d like us to consider for the league. I tend to gravitate towards more points scored than less, so I’m open to hear about anything you’d like to see in the rules.

My team is the Indy Intrepids, in BBS's league.

I’m excited to actually play in a league of Colts fans. The church league I commish for mostly consists of Chiefs, Packers, and Steelers fans. Oh, and one Dolphins fan who everyone picks on because he always tries to draft as many Dolphins as possible.
