Blame falls squarely on Mr. Irsay
We can blame Collins or the defense all day long but that is too easy. Asking kerry Collins to be like Peyton is so unfair. This coaching staff should have opened their eyes in August and made this the 1990 N.Y. Giants. 3 yards and a cloud of dust. But instead as usual the staff follows Irsay's lead and turns a blind eye to the truth. Peyton was and is a great QB who hid many issues mainly Irsay's and Polians arrogance believing 1 man was enough. Now Irsay is more concerned with Twitter than he is with his team. You do not see Mr. Kraft,Mr. Lurie,Mr. Blank,Mr. Rooney or other owners tweeting about Bob Dylan lyrics. Those owners are always trying to make their teams better. Mr. Irsay cares more about giving away a hat to his Twitter contests. As Colts fans start writing and E-Mailing Mr. Irsay and demand he answer the hard questions and put the Colts back where they belong. On top of the Mountain and not coached by a bunch of blind buffoons.

Just sayin'
You didn’t really show why Irsay is to blame for this team.
You don’t like the fact that he Tweets song lyrics – which is fine – but has zero impact on the Indianapolis Colts.
You can blame him for sticking with Bill & Chris Polian over the years, but they (and Caldwell) are the ones making the personnel decisions – ya know – like drafting D. Brown, A. Gonzalez, T. Ugoh, J. Hughes, letting guys like Ryan Lilja, Jake Scott, Kyle DeVan, Charlie Johnson, Bob Sanders leave, while essentially replacing them with Joe Reitz, Jeff Linkenbach, and Jamaal Anderson. Or signing Gary undersized Brackett to a lucrative contract, or signing Kelvin Hayden to a lucrative contract only to cut him a few years later. Oh, and failing to address the backup QB position.
Not really sure how that falls on Irsay’s plate. Unless you want to argue that he’s employed the people who are fucking this team up.

Yeah pretty much
Irsay is THE HEAD of this organization, when the sh*t hits the fan it falls to him! HE is the one who writes the Polians checks, HE is the one who hires and fires Head Ofice and coaching personnel.
THheblame always needs to go to the top, just like when we blame our President(s) when other people they put in charge of Wars, Stimulus, Foreign Affiars, Economy, etc fail at their jobs, the blame goes back to the CEO cuz he hired them.
Its all good though, the local sports rumor mill is saying that most likely the Polians are gone after this season

I understand all that...
But Irsay is nothing more than a bank to the Indianapolis Colts.
He isn’t scouting players. He isn’t phoning other teams for trades. He isn’t establishing playing time. He isn’t on the sidelines calling stupid timeouts. He isn’t running practices. He’s tweeting song lyrics and writing checks.
While he deserves some of the blame (particularly for keeping Caldwell around), I personally blame Bill Polian and Jim Caldwell for the demise of this Colts team.

Owners....
Don’t usually do much for the organization. Irsay hires the Front Office of the Polians, etc, who hires coaches, drafts and trades and signs players. Irsay just pays them and makes a revenue. There’s not too many owners who are alwasy active in decision making for the team. Not every owner can be like a Mark Cuban.
What?
What is going on here? All of you fan’s do a have a right to complain and you are right to do so. But two weeks is enough just get it out of your systems. After a while we start to sound like a bunch of spoiled candy butts. Look at the Chief’s, going from division winners and last year was the first success they had in how long? Now they are going to be just as bad or worst than us. I do not feel sorry for any of you bandwagon fans. Enough of this. It will get better and the success we enjoyed for 10 years is not normal and from a talent prospective having Peyton miss the year or most of it was the best thing that could of happened to this franchise. This forces our current players to get better and this gives us a lot better opportunity to improve our chances of getting impact players via the draft that could restock the talent pool we desperately need for another 5-6 year run. Now only if we could trade some of our veterans for Oakland’s draft picks we would be set.
You could've saved yourself some time
if you’d just admitted you don’t care enough to want the team to succeed all the time.
If football just isn’t that important to you, fine. But calling others “bandwagon” is pretty hysterical considering your level of passion for the team.
3 yards and a cloud of dust ... hmm, that brings up 4th and 1.... no thanks
