When do we put in Painter

Before you freak out and say he isn't even a backup QB in this league, hear me out. Maybe the Browns are better than we thought, but it's still the poop streak Browns in my eyes. Lets say we lose our next 3 games (I'm assuming we'll get killed by the Steelers), and Kerry is still  fumbling the football every time he gets touched. I realize that he gives us the best option, but at some point we have to consider giving Painter a shot with the starting unit.

At one point in the Browns game, I thought we were going to have more rushing yards than passing yards. Which is embarrassing to say the least, but I feel like Painter will at least try and move the ball down field. We have established some sort of run game so far this season. This could be a safety blanket so Painter doesn't have to pass every play and the opposing D line can't pin their ears back to pass rush every time. I'm not saying he's going to be awesome. We need to know if he can come into a game with the starting unit and move the ball at all. If he doesn't we cut him and get another back up. The worst thing that can happen is we lose, and we're already doing that. . And yes I know its not all on the offense, our pass D is terrible bottom line. That's all I got, let me know if that sounds reasonable or terrible, but be nice ha.
