Chargers sign DT Tommie Harris and place SS Bob Sanders on IR.
Adam Caplan reports news about two former Colts. I think Sanders' career is over. It's really too bad.

I feel bad for Bob.
Without him, there’s no way the Colts would have won their one super bowl. We can always thank him for that. I’m glad he has that ring.

I am not happy.. :(, but it was a good move let him go.
I really appreciate all the work of Bobzilla with our team(2006 & 2007).. but he cant play anymore..

It will now be interesting
to see what Tommie Harris does in San Diego.

Bob was my favorite player...
Will always remember the sheer effort and love of the game he brought… Its too bad he couldn’t stay healthy, but I guess that is what happens when you are 5’ 8" and 190 lbs and throw your body at defenders like a wrecking ball.
Good luck Bob.

Agreed
He was awesome to watch. Feel really bad that he just couldn’t stay in the game.
Such a good combo
With Bob’s ability to clean up the LB’s and DT’s inability to tackle, the combo of him and Bethea was incredibly fun to watch. Its too bad, I hope it doesn’t take as long to replace good old Bob as it is taking to replace Tarik Glen.

Wheels coming off !
I say play all these young guys and see once and for all if they can play. If they can’t cut em loose and start over !!!
Colts 2009-2011 Are a soup opera
To many injuries,FO horrors(or errors) and Fans drama
Hits just keep on coming
Justin Tryon has apparently been released as well
I'm just kidding.
I actually liked Bob Sanders. Hated to see you go to San Diego. Thank you for the good years!
Each one of these moves

It appears they've lost the FO has lost their minds.
Who knows what mindboggling decision will be made next!

I have a feeling Tommie Harris will be good
Tommie Harris was let go because of his swagger or whatever locker room chemistry issues they felt he might bring to the table. I don’t think he was truly cut for performance or injury issues. I have a feeling he is going to be solid with the Chargers this year.
I'd like to hear what Coyer has to say about the cutting of Harris.
Maybe it’s another situation where, if asked, Coyer dosen’t know and says ‘ask the HC’.
Then why haven't other teams picked him up? He's been out there a while.

this sucks..

WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF THIS MOVE?

the Tryon news
just confirms the FO is a joke! Too bad us fans have 0 say or sway and that’s not something that is going to change; just gonna have to sit back and be disappointed
youre right on!
Polian’s free pass for drafting Manning should be over with. Any idiot couldve picked peyton over leaf anyway, whats so great about that move?? Were scewed for the next couple years thanks to him…
remember when polian was the greatet gm ever by drafting players like manning and wayne and signing guys like saturday and sanders now hes just another dumb gm trying to make magic by drafting guys we dont need and releasing players tht are actually good now we dont kno wht was up wit tryon and the colts but come on he was a legit cover corner on a horrible pass coverage team im gonna hate facing the pats this yr
he has not performed anywhere close to expectations these last few years
and now we are paying the price,, this season is over, let the young guys play , get experience, Colts need a 1 or 2 pick each round in 2012 draft, a new coach, a healthy Peyton and can make a huge turn around next year

Glad we didn't sign him.....Alot of Jags fans were harping to sign Bob..
The ones that were not said he would get injured…and he did…
It’s a shame too.. You gotta love guys like Bob who play with reckless abandon..

Per Justin Tryon's twitter account:
“I thank the Colts die hard fans for the love they’re showing me! I’M A STARTER yes.. Caldwell wanted to start me but it wasn’t up to him!”
“Now done with that!! I’m def ready for the next chapter in this wonderful story!! IM BLESSED!! lay off of Caldwell he’s a great coach! Peace”
I don’t agree with the great coach part but maybe in practices he is. Maybe in-game is his major weakness. I liked the moves he made in 09.
So, it wasn’t Coyer, and it wasn’t Caldwell. Who could POSSIBLY have been responsible for cutting Tryon while Lacey doesn’t just stick on the team, but stays a starter? WHO COULD IT BE?
Holy crap, if the HC and the DC aren't making the decisions on who starts....
this team is FUBAR.

Believe me or not
After the Suberbowl Bill Polian will be out.. This year was the transition from Bill to Chris.
that is a definite possibility. The timing would make sense with the SB over.

i am just so confused right now...
The Indianapolis Colts are going to be the 1st team to win a super bowl in their own stadium. 'nuff said.
Polian was supposed to be moving out of his GM role
but since he named himself “Vice Chairman” his need to control every facet of this team has grown faster than kudzu on a telephone pole. Why would he even begin to think he knows the players and their strengths and weaknesses better than the coaches and coordinators? Insanity, and megalomania. He should just let his son do the job Irsay gave him, and stay out of the football operations business.

rec'd for the folksy metaphor. I had to look up kudzu. Nice one.

Where the hell is BBS?
As much as he hates Polian, he should be all over this. It’s finally come out that Caldwell is not allowed to make simple lineup or roster decisions. Wake up and get the word out!
Seriously what other NFL head coach would stand for this? Being told he’s not allowed to start who he wants to start? Can you imagine someone trying to tell Bill Belichick or Andy Reid or Rex Ryan that he’s not allowed to decide which CB to start?
All I know...
…is that tomorrow is going to be amazing.

Shhhh... you'll wake up the "I'm sick of BBS bashing Polian" crowd.

I can hear BP tomorrow
“We thought it was in the best interest of the team to let what’s his name, number 20 go.”
"I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me."
christ. im dying here.
so Tyron tells what we all knew. This is unbelievable.
By th way. bobzilla’s jersey is the only one I’ve ever bought. Always found them too expensive. Wish I had a Dilger one tho.
So maybe this is a good thing. MAYBE this is the perfect storm. maybe Irsay realizes what q cluster fuck he has on hand and just cleans house.
Dear Diary, Kevin is so hot. Today he was raking the yard. God I wish he'd throw me into that pile of leaves.
by GotDebt on Sep 29, 2011 1:56 AM EDT via mobile reply actions
Irsay is too busy riding the dragon to figure out he needs to clean house.
Maybe someone should slip a note under his door that says…
“Polian’s stealing your dope.”
That might get his attention.

Best wishes Bob! You will always be remembered as the passionate hard hitting impact player that you were before injuries befell your career. You were very exciting to watch and all of us Colts fans were lucky to have you here.
