The Patriots had a very good seson without Brady. Now we can compare the "genius" of Polian to that of the Pats. This should suggest whether Polian is an arrogant genius or just arrogant. I have a guess (Ugoh, Hughes, Brown, Pollak . . . . .). Does anyone stop to think that the primary reason for the Colts' success came because we were able to draft Peyton #1 because we were the worst team in the NFL the year before?
Hughes over Chick? Pride goeth before the fall, there, Billy. I guess Polian realizes how disgusting it would be to cut the defensive linemen he chose #1 over a future pro bowl left tackle who played college football 55 miles from his house. Of course, it is not like the Colts have been desperate for a left tackle the last several years.
On defense I suggest we play a 2-5-4. Heck, the D-linemen we have, and have had for years, end up in the backfield 1.5 seconds into the play anyway - might as well put them back there where they can see the action coming. Maybe if they start in the defensive backfield our d-backs will have a better chance of dodging them as they try to sustain their coverages.
