Is Curtis Painter
Eligible for the practice squad? Since the Colts are infatuated with him, put him on the PS and sign Garrard!!!!!! I wouldn't be so concerned about the Colts without Peyton Manning under center. Now that I think about it, he should just be let go. Knowing the offense is one thing, knowing how to play is another. There has to be some more QBs on the waiver wire worth pick up. Maybe the Brett Favre rumors resurface if Manning is put on IR.

Why, in the name of all things holy...
…would we sign David Garrard..?
If at first you don't succeed, quit and watch TV.
In the name of the Colts, the Hoosiers, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Amen.

Seriously
That makes no sense. And the fact that Kerry Collins was signed for $4 million, means that he’ll play every game that Manning doesn’t.
Collins has a much better chance of success...
…in the Colts’ offense than Garrard.
Seems like, until #18 is back in the saddle and directing the offense, us level-headed folk around here will have to put up with cheers of “Sign! Sign! Sign” whenever any team cuts any quarterback.

I'm with you
still in semi-shock about Peyton, I’m still hoping he’s OK but sure lets sign Garrard. If Collins is decent, leave him in. If he falters and flounders then at least we have a competent back up to take the reigns.
My point exactly,
Colts will be one hard hit away from looking at Painter start all year!!!! I cringe now just thinking about it.
No he is not eligible for the practice squad.......AND
he has more of the offense playbook in his head than anyone except Peyton. Bash him all you want, but they say he studies as hard as anyone.
I think a division rival would scoop him up for that knowledge. Would it help? dunno
