So, I've been seeing a lot of talk from people saying we need to let Mathis walk in FA, trade Freeney, and rebuild the DL. Can anyone give me a great explanation why?

We just drafted a DT who is productive, barring injury, and Moala is improving. With the additions along the DL and Polian's concern with finding the third edge rusher, why would the Colts risk getting rid of their first and second rushers unless they traded for other DEs? I'm unsure why people can't see value in two Pro Bowl DEs who continued to produce through a lost season. Just curious why there is a feeling that we can afford to lose these two players.
