Just in case anyone is wondering
this is the opposite of class…

but its also AWESOME!
lets not get attached to a guy you’ve never met…hes a football coach and hes paid to win games, he was awful at his job and deserves to be fired!
Good riddance!
Jim Caldwell
By all accounts, Jim Caldwell is a good man, and seemed to be well liked in the locker room, unfortunately he wasn’t a good head coach.
I have a few caveats to the statement above: 1. Jim never had full control over his staff. 2. He never had control over the players. 3. Have you ever worked for a boss who ripped you a new one for every little petty mistake you made? I have, and let me tell you it gets you so on edge that you end up making more mistakes. I think we can all agree that was probably the relationship between Caldwell and the Polians.
So, when I heard Irsay was going to keep Caldwell, trying to be positive, I stated on the Sirius Blitz this morning that I was for giving him a second chance. I used the above examples as to why.
Would Caldwell have been successful in Indy if the Polians weren’t there? Probably not, but we’ll never really know.
I hope Jim lands on his feet somewhere as a position’s coach, and who knows, one day he may get another opportunity as a head coach and surprise us all.

Delusional and incompetent
That’s what you called Bill Polian one of the greatest GM’s ever. That “delusional and incompetent” sounds more like you. Hitting a man while he is down or twisting the knife already in his back. Sad you don’t have any class. I’ll bet you are congratulating yourself for getting the Polians and Caldwell fired. Better be careful what you wish for.
Good luck Coach Caldwell. You are a class act and better days are ahead for you.
Coach Caldwell will never amount to anything.

Regardless of if it was deserved or not,
He did coach a team that was AFC Champions under him. I’d say he’s already amounted to quite a bit.
I am a college student that sleeps with a St. Louis Cardinals Fredbird Pillow Pet, and I am proud of it.
It's just a joke. Relax.
I’m sure he could care less about someone making fun of him on the internet. That being said, the man was a true professional and always acted accordingly. I only wish him the best, because no matter how much the Colts pushed him out front to take the fall for Bill and Chris’ mistakes, or how much they strung him along these last weeks, he still towed the company line, and showed nothing but class. He seemed like a good man, and those are hard to find.
I don't know what the hoopla is about
JC got the job because he was Dungy’s friend and a fellow Christian (how is that not nepotism?) and not because he earned it. There was no Resume he had that qualified him to lead an elite (used to be) franchise. You think he didn’t know that? then let’s assume Polian pushed him around then he should’ve had the integrity to quit if it was effecting his team and men who looked up to him. Just because a person doesn’t cuss and swear does not make him a good man. I’ll take a foulmouth who earn his way to the top any day. good riddance I say. NFL is a tough business and you get paid in millions for that. Become a priest if you want to be respected for being nice.
we're not talking about that...
He was right to get fired, but theres no need to take shots at a such a classy guy. Like him or not, he was well respected.
You're welcome for the image.
3 things in life I care about
Sox, Colts, and Hawks.

He had to go!!!
Now Colt’s can get a good head coach, the franchise deserves that!! And Grigson said the #1 thing he wants is LEADERSHIP which Caldwell did not have, He was a nice guy, but not a good head coach.
Is this really necessary?
The man lost his job, is it really necessary to belittle him? Crass and classless.

Come on...
It’s a JOKE!!! I don’t think Caldwell read this blog – and if he does, I don’t think he’ll care…
…well, if he cares, you surely can’t tell from looking at his face.

Unbelievable...
How can you write that Caldwell’s firing isn’t personal for you, he’s very well respected, a great guy, etc… and then post this?
I agree the Colts needed a new HC so Caldwell had to go, but as a professional, father, and husband I am NEVER happy to see someone lose their job. Shame on you BBS.
