Viking fan trying to find more info.

Hello Colt fans.

Apparently the Vikings will be offering a job to your DB coach Alan Williams to become our new Defensive Coordinator. I for one don't know much about the guy and would like to to know what you people think or know of him, do you think he will be a good fit as a Defensive Coordinator, and did you know the Packers are the first 15-1 team to NOT win a playoff game.

That's all. Comment.

Our secondary has been pathetic

But I think it has more to do with players he’s had to work with. Polian cut his best man corner towards the beginning of the season, and any team with Jacob Lacey playing will be bottom 5 guarantee. He’ll probably be okay tho

You don't draft a running back named Donald in the 1st round

You guys are fucked.

The Tony Dungy Coaching tree strikes again! Leslie Frazier dipped into his pool of buddies and pulled up some no name DB coach from a team with some of the worst DB’s in the league. I wouldn’t hold out much hope for a transformative coach. All of Dungys disciples have failed.

Good luck

take the worst part of a 2-14 team’s coach and promote him to your DC, you will win the suck for whoever in 2013

Not looking good

He will probably take average talent and make it look even more average. Hopefully the Vikes can draft some better players, don’t expect bad players to be “coached up.”

I don't always drink beer....but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.

DBs suck

Who knows what Alan Williams can actually do, but no one can work with Jacob Lacey, Chris Rucker, Joe Lefeged, and David Caldwell as starters. Let alone your best CB is Jerraud Powers, who is serviceable at best.

I'm assuming your are laughing at the Packers

because I am as well if that’s the case.

Is this a joke?

Who in their right mind would offer a defensive coordinator position to the positional coach of the worst coached position defense in the league? Our DBs have been awful! I just can’t believe this is true.

If it is true then… god, I shudder to think what Detriot and Green Bay will do to you next year, but I’m pretty sure it’s illegal.

I think he will be a good DC

But couldn’t develop the DBs. They have no clue when to turn around, how to be physical, how to play tight….

HUH?

Dude give me some evidence that says he’ll be a good DC. He coached one position and that position was terrible. The weakest part of the team (besides QB obviously). Their “fundamentals” are based on what he teaches…afterall he is the coach. The Vikings are screwed…the only way they survive is Frazier continues calling the defense and Williams is just brought on because theyre friends.

He Blows.......

It will never work out but it doesn’t really matter because Frazier isn’t going to work out either.

Good luck……by the way do you need a O.C???……I would love to send Clyde your way too.

To be fair, I thought we got great production out of some lower-round DBs

But some of that might have been more Dungy rather than Williams in some cases. Bullitt and Bethea specifically.

Bill and Chris Polian are better talent evaluators than you, count on it.

Give him a chance.

He may be a good DC. Our secondary was playing better once Coyer was shown the door.
