Jim Irsay To Replace Bill Polian On Radio Show Tonight

I just received word that Colts owner Jim Irsay will replace Bill Polian as the featured guest on Polian's weekly radio show this evening. The show broadcasts at 6:00 p.m. ET. Maybe, with Bill Polian now fired, the show will actually get streamed live on the Internet. For two seasons, Polian himself blocked the live-streaming of his weekly radio show.

If the show is not streamed live, we will tweet the show at our twitter handle: @stampedeblue

Irsay fired Polian and his son, general manager Chris Polian, earlier today.

LOVE THIS MOVE!!!

We all wanted to see Irsay step up and make a change. I love the idea of Irsay being there to shed light on the new team direction.

I will caution that the owner/GM position ala Jerry Jones is not good. I hope he doesn’t go too far with this. Hire the right person and them them do their job!

Please remove the national blackout!

I would guess...

the new GM will get to make the coaching decisions. I would doubt we hear anything until a new FO team is in place.

Truth...

I still don’t see how you can hire a coach before a GM. It’s like when the Cowboys hired Garrett as OC before Wade Phillips as coach. It took away all coach authority.

I feel like the same would happen here.

Guess I'll be keeping my season tickets.

Ive been a long time season ticket holder, but after the last few seasons and the utter contempt Bill Polian has showed toward the fans over the last few seasons, I couldnt in good concience keep spending money on the Colts with Polian in charge. When I left the stadium on December 22nd the gentleman who sits next to me asked if I would be back next season. I honestly couldnt answer the question until today. YES!
