I still believe that Pete Carmichael is the best person for the job. Especially with a young QB coming on board. I seen where the Packers QB coach will be considered for the O coordinator spot in Miami w/Philbin. Colts should be out there talking to him as well. It might be more appealing for him to have Luck than.......Henne? Joe Lombardi can also be the O Coordinator (QB coach from Saints). Colts could combine the best of both worlds and hire Carmichael as the head coach and Hue Jackson as the O Coordinator. Hue was actually responsible for a very good running game in Oakland. Combine that with Carmichael and you have the potential to be a very good and very balanced offense.
I think a seasoned former head coach like Dave Wanstedt, Todd Bowles, Mike Singletary etc would be just fine for this defense. I still believe Singletary would be the best though.
My only real complaint with Irsay and Grigson is that they took so long to let go of Caldwell, they've put themselves behind in the interviewing process.
Also, if the Rams can put together a "dream team" coaching staff on paper, so can the Colts. I still believe the Colts can make up the difference by putting together a "dream team" front office consisting of Marc Ross, Joe Hortiz, Jason Licht, and Ron Hughes. If you are reading this Mr. Grigson, go get these guys!
