Everyone knows that Freeney's cap figure is huge next year at $19 million and the common assumption is that we will "restructure / extend" him to lower the cap hit. What if we cut him? The "dead" cap hit would be $5 million saving us $14 million in cap space. That would be enough to resign both Wayne and Mathis who will probably want between $6-8 million each per year.

Don't get me wrong...I love Freeney. But, what do you guys think: does 1 Freeney = a Mathis + a Wayne?
