Samari Rolle Says "Hue Jackson Might Be the Next OC in Indy"
With the whirl wind of events that are taking place in Indy right now, I have to say as a Colts fan I'm excited about then hiring of chuck Pagano. That means new defensive philosophy. No more 260lbs DTs. Yes Colts fans. We are finally going to have some real defensive tackles. I just read a report on ESPN on who might be possible candidates as OC for the Colts. According to Samari Rolle, Chuck and former Raiders HC Hue Jackson worked together in Baltimore back in 08-09. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/tag/_/name/colts-hire-chuck-pagano I have to admit I had been playing with this scenario in my head since the day Jackson was let go by the Raiders. For those of you who aren't familiar with him, Hue Jackson is one of the most innovative offensive minds in the game. He's well respected around the league. His track record speaks for itself. Every QB he's coached has improved dramatically under his tutelage.
Hue Jackson would be an excellent OC for Andrew Luck to learn from. If this indeed happens the Colts will field one of the most dynamic teams on both sides of the ball the league has seen in years. I'm really anxious to see how he uses Freeney, Mathis, and Bethea as well as who he will bring in to compliment them. Although I don't think he is going to turn the Colts D into the Ravens D overnight, I do think he has the brains to turn them around the same way Philips turned around the Texans. These next few weeks are going to tell even more as the rest of the staff is filled out. Keeping my fingers crossed for Hue to be joining us next.

Wow, that is quite the interesting thought
I knew not of any prior relationship between Pagano and Jackson. Nor did I really know anything about Jackson. But, if it as you say, I hope the Colts at the very least give it a looksee.
The more dynamic the better ! Fare thee well, Peyton. And thanks for all you have brought to this franchise and its fans.
Irsay may well agree and this would further solidify his more balanced approach to constructing this squad for 2012 and beyond.
One more thought . . .
. . . .maybe Jackson would help bring Jason Campbell along as Andrew Luck’s backup.
I think it would be a good hire

sorry but that news was too
Good to pass up. If you got a problem with it you can always “sign off” from reading my posts Luck..
You know, the only Colts DT under 305 pounds was Eric Foster?
You know, that Pagano was a secondary coach most of his life, and he inherited the Ravens front 7?

Doesn't matter. He
Got the most out of that front seven and will be looking to do the same with players he brings here.
Go for it.
Anything to kick out the whole coaching staff. Since Jim Caldwell is gone, all his coaches should be gone too. Show Clyde Christensen the door and replace him.
There's only 1 true friend in life. Jack Daniels.
