New uniforms or logo for the Colts?

Let's take a second away from the Luck/ Manning convo...

While we were watching the Pro Bowl we got on the subject of the Carolina Panthers getting new uniforms/ logos. Someone asked me with this new era of Colts football do I think the Colts would ever consider changes in uniforms or logo. I told him the Colts actually have change colors slightly and of course do retro days during the season but not sure Irsay would want any part of that. I joked we were more concerned about winning than fashion but I did admit I would definitely be open to something new, rather its colors, slight adjustment of the logo, etc.

A fan reminded me that Indiana basketball fans got bent when the Hoosiers changed their colors and logo on the football jerseys and that was just college but I think Colts fans would be open. So what say you?

actually... the first link white version was not bad.

my friend does graphic design and is supposed to send me this design he had for the Colts I will post it tomorrow. however it looks like most fans are content and not open to change.

Irsay has said he prefers the classic look.

so Colts wont be getting new unis anytime soon.

Pretty much the only change is that the shoulder stripes don’t go as far now. and of course the blue helmet.

I'd like it to stay the same

I love the clean and simple look and the all white with blue trim is my favorite uniform in the NFL but I’m probably biased. I understand some might not like the plainness of the the design but not everyone is going to like it whatever it is.

If there is anything we could change I wouldnt mind going back to that darker shade of blue.

agreed as well

the first one i believe would be a nice upgrade. however if NIKE is in fact doing uni’s next year expect changes regardless if fans want them or not.

yeah i already knew that

but the NFL is a money hungry corporation and if NIKE is involved the uniforms will change in some way without fan interjection. we just don’t know to what extent yet.

i actually like the blue helmets the colts wear on retro days.

actually this is not bad… maybe switch out the black pants to blue (since it looks like he’s wearing chaps) but everything else looks cool.

thats pretty cool

except for the helmet, that looks weird, but I like the combination of blue and black

I think the Blue pants would look good with our white away jerserys

Nike is taking over the jerseys next year

I would consider it a HUGE win if they don’t have the entire league running around looking like the Oregon Ducks.

I like our jerseys as is, MAYBE make the blue darker, but that's it

I like having the throw-back jerseys though. I love all the throwbacks, regardless if they are ugly are not hahaha. something different once in a while is refreshing, but I think it’s important to have a stable, consistent look

I'd like them to

go to a blue helmet for the road unis…too much white. I wouldn’t mind seeing them wear white jerseys at home once or twice a year as well.

The logo on the podium in the Colts' studio is a blue helmet with white shoe.

I think it looks good as an alternate uni. I wouldn’t mind seeing blue pants and blue helmets thrown into the mix. The horseshoe logo is iconic and is not going anywhere. Irsay evens refers to the team as “the horseshoe.”

Personally,

I loved the Baltimore Colts logo…throwback is awesome!

shoulder stripes

In my opinion, the shoulder stripes that went all the way around looked much better.
That was years ago but was the standard for greats such as Mike Curtis, Bert Jones, Jeff Herrod, and Albert Bentley.
I also liked the white shoes and would like to see a blue helmet with white logo.
I think I can remember a season when the Colts tried silver pants with a horseshoe on both sides. (might have been when Dickerson played)
Dark helmet, white shoes, and full shoulder stripes would be nice to see again.
