Nerve Damage
I like Peyton also have suffered an injury where the nerve was damaged and not diagnosed or treated correctly at the time of the injury. After 2 years of surgeries and therapy and treatments I was informed that if the nerve is not diagnosed and treated correctly within the 1st year of the injury then the nerve will not heal and not regenerate no matter what you try and do. I had one of the best foot and ankle specialists in my state treat me and it was all for naught. He did all he could but nerves need immediate treatment and Peyton's injury happened against the Redskins in 2005 I believe when his helmet was ripped off. Waiting 6 years to be treated means less than a 1% chance of recovery. As much as Colts fans do not want to it is time for us to move forward and embrace the Ryan Grigson/Chuck Pagano/Bruce Arians/Andrew Luck era. Go Colts!

If he had some problems starting in 2005, he couldn't have played from 2006-2010
The Chicago surgeons (2nd surgery) might have fucked up his nerves though. He should have got the fusion then.
He played a year ago
If he could get back to where he was at the end of the 2010 season he’d be able to come back and play. Problem seems to be that there has been nerve damage since then. Which raises the question of whether the off-season surgery last year might actually be the cause of the damage, unless the nerves deteriorated substantially while he wasn’t playing last off-season.
He played hurt, He said so.
It wasnt where he couldnt play. it was he played in pain, a lot. He tried to heave it fixed when it got to be too much. then the problems with surgeries started.
Too many assumptions
All this BS is hearsay! No one will know till the 1st week of March… Do you have an MD or DO by your name? Do you treat professional athletes specifically pro football players? If the answers are no then we won’t have these answers till March and anything else is just assumptions, chicken little scenarios, or wishful thinking. There have been pro football players who have gone on to players years after this type of surgery down to stay at home mom’s who hurt to move with every movement of their necks, backs, and heads. The point is WE DON’T KNOW! Everyone responds differently. Everyone has their opinion, but should withhold what THE COLTS HAVE TO DO until we even know where Manning is at March 6th or 8th
