I guess anyone can be a source but unless you put a name to it why am I supposed to believe you?
I mean it could be true but it seems like the media is wishing for it to be true you would think a SB wasn’t happening with the way this seems to be the focal point.
Woodward and Bernstein
nobody should have believed them because they didn’t put names to their souces … that doesn’t make the Watergate break-in and cover-up a non-event

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
That was back when journalism truly existed and credibility mattered.
Does it matter today?
Clearly not.
For me its this until Manning announces it everything else is speculation on their part.

I represent the last bastion of responsible journalism
having graduated from college five years ago in communications. I could tell that my younger colleagues had been ESPN-ized to death and never epitomized credibility. It’s only going to get worse from here. The good thing about Twitter is we can hear from the athletes and sports officials themselves so we get some modicum of the truth. There are no more Deep Throat-esque journalists. Truth will only get more distorted and compromised in subsequent generations.

With Coach Zorro on our side, we will slice opponents to ribbons. Tim Tebow gives me hope and I already have faith and charity in my heart! I see a propitious future rife with Lombardis for our Broncos!

The same Twitter where Rob Lowe is considered a source. He may be right but really I think Manning should be the one to say it.
Its his career one would think if they really cared about him as they claimed they’d respect him enough to say it himself rather than be the one with the “story”
I neglected to mention that aspect of Twitter
the informed and the idiot have an equal chance to shout at the public square, that’s why I only follow verified media figures.

Leaks
The thing I keep noticing is that no one’s ever said if Peyton can even feel his triceps yet. No one’s ever leaked that his throws are looking decent, or that his velocity is improving, or that he’s looking even a little bit like the old Peyton.
All of the leaks keep saying that he’s probably done. Or at least nowhere near where he should be.
Except there was a report back in December of him throwing from Addai now he could be lying but why would he bother?
Regardless I just don’t buy that people close to Manning would talk to the media about this at least those close to him.
This is the same guy that kept his twins a secret and nobody blabbed about that.
He could be done but I don’t think that those close to him would tell the media before he would.
point taken, but
Then we would have to assume that either multiple media people are not really hearing this from people who are close to the situation. OR people who are claiming to be close to the situation really aren’t. OR the people really are close to the situation but are lying for some reason. At some point Occam’s Razor has to kick in.
I hope it’s not true. None of us thought that the Jets loss would be his last time on the field. Hopefully it’s not.
Like I said I rather hear it from him because you know its his career.
This is the same media that reported Joe Pa died before he actually did, that it was a done deal Butler would be DC that Caldwell would be retained etc.
Yes I question their credibility.
I doubt Manning would do that interview with Kravitz if he was retiring and I doubt Irsay would call him a politician if he was retiring instead he wouldn’t have to worry about what Manning said because you know he’d be retiring.
I thought Arians was gonna stay with the Steelers?
And it's now my sig

if you heard Peyton's interview
with Trey WIngnut on SportsCenter, it appears that he is doing just fine, so that’s good to hear. I just hope Mr. Irsay is doing the right thing for you guys in the event that he truly is released. Do we really know Andrew Luck will be great? Wasn’t Ryan Leaf also called a can’t miss prospect?

Peyton's interview on espn
showed that Manning is more optimistic about his progress as the media painted it to be. Manning to the Chiefs!
