According to PFT Jim Popp may be our guy at GM.

The guy has won 4 grey cups and put together quite a record of winning excellence. He's also tried his hand at coaching, and he should probably stay in the office.

He's been rumored to be in the running for a job with the Redskins:

According to Jason Reid, Popp is well known in NFL circles, so why he hasn't been given a job over the last 15 years is beyond me... unless he's just a CFL GM. I'm not opposed to bringing in a guy from another league, in fact I almost always love a CFL signing but I'm not so sure I want a guy whose last job was to build a B team, even if he did build a great B team.

On the other hand building and maintaining a great B team in many ways would be more difficult than building a team with first tier talent. I don't know how I feel about this guy, I'm conflicted.

Anybody have any info on the Montreal Alouettes?
