Back before you decided to go all tabloid-style on us, you were a hell of a writer. That was a better analysis than most so-called “experts” or “insiders” write for analogous situations.

There is surely a reason, though, that he has remained in the same position for several years since you pegged him as the best option for KC. Perhaps it has been difficult for other teams to flesh out just how much of the moves like JPP etc were his doing and how much were Reese’s.

Of course, you run into that same problem with EVERY guy that’s a candidate for this kind of promotion from another organization. How much of the Eagles drafting was Reid, not Grigson? Cowboys, Jones, Ciskowski? Steelers, Colbert, Whaley, etc?

Maybe it’s just that Princeton people have a habit of telling you how much smarter they are. That was one of Polian’s worst traits. It’d suck to be subjected to that in a new regime too.

(I’m only mostly joking about that.)

There’re very few well thought out articles that delve as deep as you have with this one. As a football fan that lives in Kansas City area and truly a Colts fan since Unitas era I can relate to the info. Im no writer or reporter so my two cents isnt worth much but thanks for a great read.
