If/When #18 goes to another team, where do you want him to go?

I've come to accept that it's doubtful for #18 to play for the Colt again, and since I'm a #18 fan AND a Colts fan, I'm okay with that.

As a Colts fan, if we're gonna rebuild, then let's rebuild. Trade what assets you can to get younger, faster, stronger, better for the next 15 years. Close the book on this terrific era of Polian, Manning, Harrison, Freeney, James, etc and start a new one.

As for #18, other legendary greats didn't finish with their teams -- Montana, Rice, Emmit Smith, Favre and the list goes on (please add who comes to mind). Alot of times, those teams had run their run and were looking for a new chapter in their franchises. We're in the same boat, and let's face it, do the 2012 Colts offer the best chance for another ring for Manning? Prob not. So for him, I'd like to see him go to a team that would give him a legit chance at another SB.

While Detroit and GB will be tough, I'd like to see him go to the Bears...

What do you think?

Wellllll

assuming this happens. I dont really see the Bears just dumping Cutler, so I doubt that would happen.

Charley Casserly on the nfl today said Arizona. Ehhh thatd be sort of shitty. Peyton to Fitzgerald would be off the hook, but still. Im thinking more so like NY Jets or San Francisco.

LMAO

I would give my left nut to see that happen. Peyton behind the Patriots O-line would be lethal.

I wouldn't care where he went

If he’s not with the Colts.

As a Colts Fan, I would want him in the NFC

As a football fan, it would be very interesting to see him close out his career on the Jets vying for top dog in NYC against Eli and playing in the same division as the Pats.

sb chance

I think that colts defintely owe peyton a chance to go to a good team that he could win the sb with. Since they never really put a great team around him like brady had. I think it would be best if peyton goes to either the 49ers or the Vikes

Man, this hurts to think about

But almost any team in the NFC West (other than St Louis) could use him. However, remember the last time the Colts traded someone to St Louis???

His best chances to win would be SF or Seattle. Of those, I would like to see him in SF. All that team is missing is a QB.

What do I really have left in life but this place? It ain't much of a home, but it's all I got. Well, g******it. I'll be damned if I let some foreign, graffiti writin', soul suckin', son of a bitch in an oversized cowboy hat and boots take my friend's souls and sh** 'em down the visitors toilet!

i can go to every home game to see Peyton… that would be a dream come true.

49ers...

Great coaching and terrific D and ST play, plus a good ground game and O line… They are a top 10 QB from the SB… If he is gonna go, hope he goes to an NFC team because if he goes to an AFC team, that will be 3 years of hell for the Colts having to play him once or twice during the reg season….

As a fan of the Colts and this once in a lifetime player, I really want Peyton back as a Colt or retire and be on the sidelines coaching up Luck!

I dont want him to leave

I’ve been a huge advocate of trading the pick. If they do let Peyton leave, it would be interesting to see him end up with the 49ers. He would be coached by the guy he replaced as QB of the Colts, and the guy replacing him was coached up to his current status by his new coach. Irony.

The only way that the Colts can setup Manning for a couple more SB chances

would be to trade the Luck pick and hit an absolute home run on this year and next year’s draft. It is a big stretch. This also assumes that Manning is healthy, which is a big question mark as well.

I have come around to the idea of starting over with Luck and the complete rebuild strategy, and I think an outside GM would prefer that situation as well. BUT if they decide to go all in with Manning and risk trading away a future “Manning-esque” QB, I would love that too and both scenarios are very exciting to me.
