The Colts just sent an early signal that their offensive line will feature a patchwork of back-ups on Sunday when they face the 2-2 Green Bay Packers.
WR Kris Adams has been released, and his spot on the 53-man active roster was filled by OT Tony Hills. Hills was promoted from he practice squad.
The Colts are already minus guard Joe Reitz and his back-up, Seth Olsen. Playing left guard on Sunday will be reserve right tackle Jeff Linkenbach. Starting center Samson Satele is also hurt, nursing a knee injury. Promoting Hills suggests Satele will not play, and that A.Q. Shipley - who was also promoted from the practice squad last week - will start at center.
Thank god Andrew Luck is a mobile quarterback.
TE Coby Fleener is questionable with a head injury while OLB Dwight Freeney is also a gametime decision with an ankle.
Pat Angerer, Vontae Davis, and Justin King are listed as OUT.
Yeah, the Colts are just a tad beat-up. I've never seen a team seemingly get more injured as they come out of a bye.
Back to Adams, look for him to get added to the Colts practice squad should he clear waivers unclaimed.
