Since I heard of many worried about the small number of picks we'll have next year, I think we have to clear things out. (This was just on the Star, btw)
A 7th was due to Philadelphia in the Fokou-Lloyd trade, but Lloyd never made the team and Fokou has officially reached a point where he can't meet the necessary playing time benchmarks.
So we don't owe them our 7th anymore.
A 6th was due to Miami in the Davis trade, but, same as before, Davis won't officially meet the benchmarks. So the 6th stays home.
As of now the have our 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th.
Our 5th was sent to San Francisco to move up and pick Hilton.
At the same time, among the FA losses that may be taken into account for compensatory picks, Saturday, Tamme and especially Garcon stand out the most.
I think it's fair to expect to enter the drat with 1st, 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 6th and 7th round picks, these being the circumstances.
