Some positives

1.) Rookies
Man, what would this season be without some of these guys, we had Vick Ballard go for his first 100 yard game. When the Colts drafted him I felt that he would be a huge player for us and he has continued to prove that. He has been awesome and Carter has been a perfect compliment to him (which was proved yesterday). Andrew Luck was under duress all day and did not throw a single pick, hot damn our boy is learning. Finally, our receiving rookies (Hilton, Allen, and Fleener) accounted for 10 targets out of Luck's 27 attempts and they also accounted for both of his touchdowns, everyone else better watch out in the next couple of years, these guys are gonna be scary.

2.) Defense
Yes they gave up 20 first half points but once again they made the right halftime adjustments and helped Luck and company stay in the game going into the 4th by only allowing 9 points the entire second half. Once they start forcing turnovers our defense will be pretty scary after being the epitome of mediocre at best. I think some off-season moves will help us out on both sides of the ball. The fact that Houston's kicker attempted 6 field goals shows that bend not break mentality these guys have.

3.) The Boomstick
I absolutely love this guy, he is kind of a badass and is pretty funny but besides that he averaged 48 yards on each punt, downed 3 inside the 20, and had a long of 63 (which was sized down by a penalty). The block was attributed to a missed block but that is fixable. On this season and last season Pat has been one of our most consistent players as always.
